I was talking to rockHEAD at the event and I said, "watch, you know somebody's gonna take pics of the bathroom and post 'em". Man, can I call it or what?!

The whole open house are pretty good, I even got Calvin and Bill's signatures , and talked to one of the power dancer (she parked really close to me).

    2 things I have to b**** about:
    • The Rockets merchandises are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too expensive, I mean 25 dollars for a shirt? Come on!!
    • Tim told us that we can visit the locker room, well~ it turn out that's only for season tickets holders.

Go to Academy. I went there straight after the open house and got a red tshirt, the same ones u see selling on the official website, for $13. The only thing I was tempted to buy was the strectchable Rockets hat, in which I cant find anywhere, but for $25, FORGET IT! :D

Me and DLS were checking out the resteraunt on the box levels and the bar there and all this stuff and when we asked how to make reservations for the resteraunt and what kind of seat ticket you needed to get in, the guy was just like, "you don't have to worry about it, it's just for box and sweet holders." I was like, damn! what? do I smell bad or something? (I was wearing a Yao throwback jersey that he wore in the throwback game, abercrombie jeans, CK belt, Dock Martins, and Calogne.... LOL basically is wasn't looking like trash so I was kinda like.. "what???"

The view from the resteraunt was incredible though!!!! The bar is first class and everything there was high tech. The players even have to go through finger print scanners and more to get into some places like the locker room.

I saw a whole lot there. I don't know what I was expecting but I came away from it thinking that I'm going to have to watch a lot of games from home for some reason... seemed like they some incredible amenities there but I don't think I'll be enjoying them but I think that they are a really good idea for those that can afford those spots.

I really like the high seating on the very ends because you aren't exactly "behind" the goal, you are more above it looking down with actually a very good view!

That bathroom picture posted earlier kinda scares me... but other than that, thanks for the pictures guys and gals.

PS: Did anyone so the juge temporary sign for the weekend that they put up right in front of the homeless people? It was like "New Luxury Houses for those that like the nicer things" or something like that... I know it was extremely wrong to laugh but I almost fell out laughing (I mad sure no one saw me). afterwards, I wish they had picked a different spot to put that sign.

I hope they start on that park soon!!! But I hope they help everyone of the homeless there find another place first.

Oh, and remember (Saturday, October 4th, at the U of H recreation center at 2:00pm, a bunch of us are getting together for CC.net posters basketball games so please try to come)
After this time, the next time we have it will be on the new court across from the areana on a homegame day!

Did anyone notice the glare on the court from the upper deck seats (Section 417)? Hopefully the lights will be adjusted before the first game cause it would suck to squint during the game.

I was thinking...if I had gone, I would have really liked to talk to some of you guys - I think I would have recognized some of you from the Smeg event pics.

Then again, this could have led to embarrassing situations if the people I would have talked to would NOT have been the ones I would have thought they were...like...

"Hey Fatty Fat b*stard!" - smack!

Really? I thought it was the SAME exact shirt, other than the one I bought has the Reebok logo.

Or you maybe talking about the one with the gray outline on the collar and sleeves.

The stadium is beautiful, a very nice place, though I saw less of it than I thought.

I was a bit unimpressed with the layout of the parking garage, seems like it will be as big a fourmonkeycluster$#@! as the old one, and what's with splitting the traffic for those gates only to remerge them immediately after? Maybe it will be different during games, but... seemed like getting out of there is going to be crazy. And you -could- park -around- the stadium I guess, but how bout the crowd at the sleepfest in the "park" next door?

Anyway, Here's what I noticed from my seats in 412 (used to be 214)

View isn't as bad or far back as I thought, though, the whole floor wasn't there so it was misleading. Anyway, my "comparable" seats are not about 5-10° BEHIND the basket, where they used to be in front just a bit... that's just how the perimeter of the new upper deck shakes out I guess.. and I will say that the seats, although deemed 'comparable" to my last seats in the old arean, are about $9 cheaper per seat per game. Still, I liked what I had, and this was my first chance to see it. The view wasn't as bad as I expected though, switching from 214-412 and all.

The seats are comfortable enough, and the armrests are much more accommodating than the ones at Minute Maid... but....

What I was most disappointed with was the amount of leg/foot room between rows. There is almost NO WAY to sit with your feet in front of you... I am not that tall of a guy, 5'8", and I had trouble sitting there with no one around me. I really don't understand cramming two or three extra rows that may or may not sell into an arena and making the entire upper deck THAT uncomfortable. I can tell you now, I'm glad that I only have half a season this year, because it just was not comfortable. Again, no one beside me, just ME tucking my feet in what would appear to be "my space" . The seats are also "thicker" and so you can't really "tuck" your feet back under them. Everyone, at least everyone in the upper deck except the seriously vertically challenged and children, will be fighting for foot room in the nook that occurs where the two seats meet in front of each person. There are only like 15-20 rows in the upper deck (i think from memory) and I really can't underand the lack of space. Comparable.... hmmph.

Anyway... just my two cents, hadn't heard anyone else who checked out their seats and what they thought.

Thank goodness I'm on the aisle, with the stairs on the opposite side of my view.

The arena is awesome! I love it.

I like the simplicity and the red also.
Of course I am bias! I graduated from UH.:)

My seats last year were in Section 201, four rows up, now this year I am in Section 418, four rows up. No way are they comparable to last year, the seats I have now are at least 10 to 15 rows farther back then last year and higher up. Not much leg room at all, I have to hope no one will sit in front of me the entire year. And the stairs are on such an incline, very scarey. Overall the stadium is nice, but the upper sections were very disappointing.

damn I wish I could have been there. Very nice arena.

It felt so good to see the court where we gonna beat up all future opponents. The time is now.
