I know no one believes me on this one, but we won't be unveiling the uniforms at the Open House. Heh. Not a conspiracy. No, not trying to play with your mind. We just don't have them to unveil. We're still waiting on Reebok to send us a few so we can put on a show. If you still don't believe me ... show up, stay all 5 hours, and then tell me if you still don't believe me.

    Soon, soon. Just not Saturday.

We will have Flaco Jiminez playing, though, as well as a couple of other bands. And we will have a kids clinic put on by the Rockets assistant coaches, and Coach will do a Q&A. And $2 hot dogs and $2 nachos, and $1 sodas, just to keep people from going hungry. And you'll be able to tour everywhere in the building (even the locker room) except the administrative offices and the practice court, because we'll be painting and finishing the practice court floor -- but you will be able to get a great view of the practice court from the street and from the concourse.

So, we'll wow you with this fantastic building, let you see it inside and out, get you all impressed ... and then we'll even have all the seats that aren't sold yet for season tickets marked, with lots of handy salespeople around in case you decide you want to mark your spot and reserve a ticket package.

LegendZ3 ... I wish the court across the street was going to be ready, but the city hasn't started the renovations yet. So, right now, it's not a ballpark -- just a park. Hopefully that gets fixed soon.

I went up to the counter where the receptionist is and she just handed me 6 tix. I was in and out in (literally) 60 seconds.

I drive by a Toyota dealership (two actually) on my way home from work. If anyone would like me to pick up a ticket for them, please send an email to andy@sexiestgeekalive.com.

That sure is a nice gesture Andy. I'd take you up on the offer if
I'd live around the houston area.

Is there a limit on how many tickets you can pick up? Do you just walk in and ask for them?

Tim, do I have to go all the way to a Toyota dealership to get tix? I work in Greenway. Any chance I can pop by and get 2?

Seems a shame that someone in the loop would have to drive so far away to get tix.

I think I'll be there at 12. I will probably be able to be there for like an hour or so (looks like I picked a good day to come to Houston). How far is it from Houston Hobby Airport?

Go ahead and bring your cameras ... there will be restrictions during paid events, but not during the Toyota Test Drive open house.

I walk in and ask for "Rockets tickets," (Rockets tickets?) and, apparently knowing what the hell I was talking about, the guy at the counter asks, "How many?"

So I ask, "How many can we get?"

Toyota guy, "How many do you need?"

I'm thinking I need 6, but then I think, whoa! there's no limit! lemme ask for 20! but then I think, don't wanna seem greedy, so I end up saying, "Uhhh, gimme eight!" and I'm in and outta there in less than a minute.

Moral of the story: there is no limit. Ask for two hundred, and set up a BBS meeting to distribute them to the rest of the BBSers in the greater Houston area.

Depending on traffic...20-30 minutes (doing the speed limit) I could get there in 15 on a good day.;)

    Tim,

you say that cameras will be restricted at pay events. Are there any new restrictions? IIRC, last year there was a limit on zoom lenses...is that still the case? Or are there stricter ones this year?

I like bringing my digital camera to Rox games, will I still be allowed to this year?

Essentially the same restrictions as prior years ... no real changes.

    PARKING PROBLEM?, CONSIDER IT SOLVED.

Our office is just a block away from the center. If you could give me one ticket, I'll let you get in the parking for free.

    email me: hYah00@hotmail.com.

Of course, only 1 spot available.
