I've had directv since it first came out which was about the same time playstation came out or close to it. I've had nfl and nba package since they came out. Its part of my spoiling of myself. Every year, every game, all the time. I may not watch nearly as many as a used because I'm married now,but late night, I can put down some games.

Damn kid, you're livin' the dream. The only thing missing in that picture is a huge plate of nachos and cheez whiz.

Same here, or even commercials. Sucks to look at a point blank screen in timeouts, especially when watching with family or friends. The timeout screen kills the mood.

Nope, I will say that I've had pretty much every game console since Intellivision in 1981 when I was 10. I'm not a tech freak, but when I want techie stuff,I do get it. People can have the comcast or whatever, give me directv and my cadillac packages and I'm good.

Can you buy it without a cable TV deal... In other words.. I have Comcast internet but not Comcast cable TV.

Can you buy the NBA deal without having a cable TV package?

Also I see people posting from Canada saying they have International NBA League Pass. Do they have to have a cable TV deal before they can buy NBA League Pass?

    Just asking.

Yeah it really sucks... Pregame and postgame stuff should be streamable live for home court pre game and soon after postgame with player interviews before they head off the court.

I'm in Asia, where NBA games are played mornings. So I need ILP for when I need to go to work, I know I can watch when I get home at night. This year though, it's more expensive.

Do you have to have a Cable TV deal..Cable TV before you can buy the ILP package? Or can you just buy ILP straight up?

Oh, I watch it on my computer. All Rockets games will be available on demand throughout the season. You can watch any time you want.

to all the above.. thanks... I live in the USA. I will try to sign up for league pass.. I was under the impression that here in the USA you had to have a cable TV package first before you could get NBA league pass.

The wife says I have to decide between LP and NFL Sunday Ticket ... I choose LP for the sheer bang for the buck. She hates it, because I never miss a Rox game, but I love it, because I never miss a Rox game ;)

Last year, I could choose a package of only Rockets games. This year's ILP, there's no choice--I have to sign up for all games + playoffs. That's why it's more expensive, but it's also more games than I'll ever want to watch.
