can't fire dantoni while we have harden and the team won't and shouldn't move on from harden at 29 years old. I think this team is stuck like chuck for a while. maybe butler can be the savior.

Despite the injury problems, Houston’s defense has looked good in stretches the last two games. Clearly we are not on the same level as last year’s team but it’s good enough to win some games if we have that elite offense we had last year. The real problem this year is our offense is broken. Players are clearly tentative and pump faking themselves into worse shots. The shooting has been cold but honestly the problem this year is the same as last year - the offense itself doesn’t get players good looks without James or Chris breaking a guy down one on one and forcing the help so we can get guys open buckets off the rotation. This style of offense requires Harden or Paul to be playing out of their mind or multiple stars on the floor at the same time. Right now Harden and Paul have hardly played together so instead of looking like last year’s juggernaut, it looks like the McHale era team when opponents just loaded up on our one star and forced our role players to make plays - and we just don’t have those types of role players. Ego is going through another one of his cold streaks, MCW is a clueless shooter, Melo is doing okay as a shooter except he pump fakes his way out of threes to take tough long 2s(pretty much the most unrocket shot available) - all risk, little reward. Tucker can hit shots but has little to offer unless we get him a wide open look. Teams are staying with Capela on PnRs so his easy buckets are becoming far less easy. It’s the same system problem we have had since the McHale days - teams can gameplay us with success unless Harden and Paul are playing like a top 10 player and James is hurt and Paul is just not in that level anymore.... I don’t know how you fix it at this point besides resting Harden and Paul as much as you can so they can stay healthy and hope you slide into the playoffs and be a dangerous lower seed. ***** bad yo
i gotta theory... maybe Morey is having the Rockets purposely suck ass so those 1st round picks look "good" for the Butler trade. Once we get Butler, we get our team back. im praying to sweet Jesus this is it....
How many L's will it take to do that? What until we're 10 games under .500 & then Butler comes & we magically compete w/ the Warriors again??

This is night and day compared to last years team. We need to fire the defensive assistant coach who doesn’t know what the f he’s doing. Get another defensive coach and have the players buy into it. Cut MCW btw.
If they lose one of the games to the bulls and nets..... we will start to hear about locker room issues start to pop up if they haven’t already yet that we don’t know about.
I really like Daryl Morey. But if he keeps refusing to acquire a legitimate big man for this team aside from Capela, I will fire him myself.
