i think stevie is the better all-round player, and baron is

the type who will probaly look to pass more but still finds

    his shot.

    stevie over baron

I think SF is a better talent but it is time for him to put the Rockets on his back and get some playoff exposure. Until he can do that...Baron Davis gets the nod.

All that matters in the NBA is the playoffs. It sometimes overvalues players like Bibby who some people would tell you is better than Francis which is crazy.

Steve's stats are inflated b/c his surrounding cast isn't as good and that also explains why his rebounding numbers are so good, while the hornets big men are much better rebounders. Baron gets the edge b/c he is younger and has more playoff experience.

well, Baron's stats are inflated because his cast is better, so he gets more apg.

Not to mention he plays in the East.

So I guess that means that would hurt his rebounding and PPG totals right...?

Not really. Him and Steve could pass the same amount of times, but Baron gets more APG due to the better cast. Steve only shot just over a shot more per game, but avgs about 4ppg more.

I don't really look at rpg as much of a factor, unless the two were almost exactly alike. (both 22ppg, both 8apg, one 7rpg, the other 5rpg.)

steves 1.7 ass/to ratio is the worst i think among starting point guards.

And Baron had a 58% FT, which should be the worst among starting pgs. :)

I think Steve's game should explain that. Especially when he plays through migrains. Its not very easy to drive, and go through 3 or 4 pair of hands. Not to mention when the guys aren't making the open shot, he may have tried to force something.

Also, like somebody said, since Baron has bigger hands, he can hold on to the ball better.

    :)
