Last month I was dreaming about: Yao vs Shaq TMac vs Kobe Fisher vs Payton JVG vs Rudy T WOW, What a match, only on Pay Per View!!!
Ha! Kobe wouldn't throw the ball to Shaq, what makes you think he will pass to Odom or Divac? And, both combined, will never have the effect on the game as Shaq did. Looks like a one-man show to me, bud...
another way you can tell kobe is better is that we are on a rockets forum and 1/3 the votes are swinging towards kobe. Not only that, but everyone who votes for kobe can probably say that they hate him and they hate the lakers, but grudgingly they admit he is better. that being said, go T-Mac!
Right now u gotta give it to Kobe. They're probably equal on the offensive end, but Kobe was named on the first team defensive team more than one time. T-Mac still has to prove that he can play good defensively
As much as I don't like Kobe as a person, he is probably the hardest working athlete in NBA, and I have to give pros to him. This guy will do anything to win, and I haven't quite see that in T-Mac.
Untill TMac works as hard also the Kobester, I'd rate the "Sorry here's a 4M dollar diamond ring" as the better baller.
It's certainly a helluva a lot easier to be a "proven winner" and "not give up" when you have arguably the best player of your generation playing with you. This poll needs to be done at the end of the season. Because Kobe will finally show what he can do as the main option, while T-Mac can show what he can do on a great team.
Here´s something from espn about this (although it´s not new) : http://espn.go.com/nba/columns/may_peter/1467459.html http://espn.go.com/nba/columns/lawrence_mitch/1467144.html
the second guy's column is a kobe>tracy article where he goes on and on about kobe's defense, yet the picture they show is kobe taking a jumper over t-mac where it seems that tracy is blocking kobe's shot. actually i am pretty positive that t-mac at least tipped the ball when shooting, great choice on the picture lawrence mitch!
If i am not mistaken, I believe 2 seasons ago, when Shaq was out because of toe injury, Laker had a losing record until Shaq came back.
i REALLY dislike kobe, with a flaming passion that is hard to extiguish, but he is better. perhaps not skill wise (although kobe has shown that he is at least willing to play defense-unlike tmac) but kobe is a winner, and lives for the clutch shot. and so far, i have never seen that from tmac, but we shall see... so for now, kobe is definately the better all around player.
Hard to say Bryant is a "winner" and all this stuff considering his antics this past year - particularly tanking the Sacramento game because of a tiff with his coach - and then rolling over and dying in the finals.
How many times are we gonna post this question along with polls? Hasn't it been posted about 4 times already? I thought I posted this first one a long time ago.
