I have no problem with Obama's citizenship, but I confess to being a joker. I even have one in my sig most of the time. The funny thing about the citizenship issue, even Ann Coulter thinks there is no basis in fact for the challenge.
Here's where you are the racist. I don't want him to succeed because his policies are too liberal -- not too black. Do you understand the difference? Apparently not.
What does being a joker have to do with being an anarchist or being the antichrist? Obama obviously is not an anarchist -- how can he be when he is a socialist?
You didn't read the post correctly if you think it applies to you. FLAGRANT1 said, "Not wanting someone to succeed and making up arguments to defeat someone because they are [a specific race] is racist." If you don't want him to succeed because you feel his policies are too liberal, then you aren't someone who doesn't want him to succeed because he is a specific race. Therefore, you aren't a racist under FLAGRANT1's definition, and that post isn't referring to you.
If you mean by "the joke" the joker carcature that was applied to both Bush and Obama, I'd have to say both would have to be considered dark humor -- but mildly amusing in a bizarre theatre of the absurd. It's bizarre that so many were offended when the joker face was applied to Obama but wildly funny and apropo when applied to Bush.....hypocracy gone wild.
Who are these "so many" that were offended when it was applied to Obama? Do you remember? I've only heard of a few people. And I don't know of any who thought it was funny or apropos when applied to Bush (but then again I don't remember it being applied to Bush). I'm just curious if you can explain who you're talking about, since it sounds like an exaggeration.
Don't be. Every serious antichrist candidate has a serious messianic complex. It's a requirement for the position.
Does this means you were exaggerating or just assuming the hypocrisy existed? (I don't need a link or anything, I was just curious who the people you were referring to are.)
As an example, it was the subject of talk shows on CNN, Fox News and MSNBC, the three that I remember most. Youtube has quite a number of entries on it. Try this one for example, http://beltwayblips.dailyradar.com/story/philip_kennicott_on_images_obama_as_the_joker_betrays/. Why do you grasp at straws when you could just as easily argue why you think I'm wrong?
You've got to be kidding. After what happened under Bush, this is the epitome of the pot calling the kettle black.
I don't want to get into "pot" and "kettles" because they have politically incorrect implications. However, Bush betrayed the nation very much like Obama is now. Bush gave us secrecy in government, and Obama has continued it. Bush gave us extensive war in Iraq, and Obama is giving us more extensive war in Afghanistan. The comparisons could go on forever. In short, I'm sorry I voted for Bush. I am sorrier for not minding that Obama won. The nation may not survive the historical combination of these two.
