Soda IS all carbs and.... not all carbs are created equally. Simple carbs convert to fat very quickly.... I'm not saying one is better or worse than the other, well, actually I am. I believe that a can of soda is slightly worse for your waistline than a can of light beer (and way worse for your teeth and diabetes risks). If you are doing a no carb/low carb type extreme diet, a little bit of alcohol can actually help get you into ketosis - so there are all sorts of factors to consider, depends on how far you want to go for a debate on nutrition. I tend to think in extreme cases, like what will get me a ripped sixpack without losing much muscle and the only way to do that is to manipulate my carbohydrates. You can cut your calories to lose "weight", but cutting bodyfat and keeping muscle at the same time is a whole different, more complex animal nutritionally - its all about carbs.
Congrats on changing your eating habits for the better. I remember some of your posts from awhile back and from what I remember you were like Fatty, just lived on complete and absolute garbage 99% of the time?
I eat only veggies and lean meats. For example, I will go to McDonald's and get a grilled chicken sandwich WITHOUT the bun, plus a sald with NO dressing. But then I order two 64 oz. Coca Cola's (regular). I just can't help it. I have to cancel out those people who do the opposite.
Nah, my family always was pretty health conscious. I just had poor eating habits for the most part due to being forced to not waste food. I eat too fast and that contributes to weight gain.
healthy eating is great, but this light beer talk, in the nation's young, troubles me greatly. To think some people will not enjoy Speakeasy brews makes me sad.
And then you would eat a box of ding dongs and not remember it Of course if it is the really good stuff, you might just sit down and contemplate the universe and forgot to eat entirely
