lol...we do what we do...it is what is... what are you an athlete or something? I was just asking because i assumed (yes, i know what assuming does) that you were skipping meat to be more healthy.
I am not an athlete. I'm just struggling with weight issues at the moment and trying different things to see what might work. Probably would help if I got out more though
Yes, I've taken up knocking back a couple (and more than a couple on the weekends) Trying to cut back a bit.
I'd guess that's what is preventing you from losing weight. Think of alcohol as a soft drink. You would not have 6 cokes in one sitting. But I wish you luck in your goal.
Yeah I'm aware of it and I have kind of cut back on the booze. Maybe 2-3 beers on Friday/Saturday night. Its not really the same as 6 cans of coke (thats like a half pound of pure sugar) but its not helping.
Hmm... lemme check. yep, bacon fat... Their black bean tacos and burritos contain no bacon fat. OK at least I still have that.
Fatty, I thought you were a man! You are not eating like a man with all those veggies on top of your burger. Next time get double patty, double cheese, extra mayo.
Isn't beer healthier than soda? Reason being is less sugar content and no high fructose corn syrup. I could be wrong though.
I wouldn't say its "healthier" but 6 cans of regular soda literally equals a half pound of sugar. I avoid HFCS like the plague.
I would think it's a better option when trying to lose weight... I mean, I could drink a Michelob Ultra for 99 calories or a Coke for 140 calories and boatloads of sugar.
Yes. And milk may be the healthiest of the bunch. But you would not drink 6 cups of milk in one sitting either. Our bodies are not well adapted at taking into account calories from liquids.
Yeah but it isn't really about calories if you are trying to shed fat. It is more about simple carbs and sugars. I can eat a lean piece of chicken breast, brocolli, olive oil and a handfull of almonds (600 calories). Or I can drink a can of soda (140 calories) and doughnut (200 calories). The latter meal would give me a nice spare tire around my stomach if I did that every day - or I could stick with the chicken/brocolli every day and would eventually end up with a six pack. Moes - cutting out beef and chicken will not help you shed fat, if anything you are going to gain more, because you'll be eating more carbohydrates and sugars - which get converted to fat immediately by your body if they aren't used for energy. If you had some beef or chicken mixed in, the extra protein would slow down the absorbtion rate of the carbs and you'd have a more sustainted energy supply and you wouldn't convert your calories to fat as quickly.
Well it was supposed to be a complete dietary change, not just cutting out meats. It kept the pounds off for a while, but I started eating ****ty foods again and drinking a lot more.
