ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Two employees at a Whole Foods Market store in Albuquerque say they were suspended last month after complaining about being told they couldn't speak Spanish to each on the job.

Bryan Baldizan said he and a female employee were suspended for a day after they wrote a letter following a meeting with a manager who told them Spanish was not allowed during work hours.

"I couldn't believe it," said Baldizan, "We only talk Spanish to each other about personal stuff."

He said Whole Foods officials told them about company policy and issued the suspensions.

Whole Foods Market spokeswoman Libba Letton said in addition to safety reasons, the policy is in place so employees who don't speak Spanish don't feel uncomfortable.

It's a policy and they were aware of it, so the suspension is justified and legal. Nothing to see here.

Had they done this saying they were never given a copy of the policy, well, that's a different story.

OFF to the D&D we go...

WTF? I thought these things were only given to cops after they shot a litter of kittens or a teacher after encouraging violence between the students.

Yeah, there is ALWAYS more to the story when it comes to attention-grabbing headlines like this.

    Nothing to see here.

da1, you might want to know that most of your threads should probably be started in the D&D forum. The hangout isn't the place for the things you typically post. I try never to bring divisive things into the hangout. Party foul brah.
