This Rick Kamala show is ****ing terrible lol. I don't know why I decided to put 610 on on my way home but I did. Neither Sterner or Kamala has much personality, Sterner sounds like he hates Kamala lol. Clint doesn't know basketball, Kamala doesn't know football, neither guy knows baseball. Basically another weak addition to Houston sports radio
I picked up on that from day 1, when Sterner was a guest he seemed like a pretty nice guy and on day 1 it seemed like he did not like Kamala at all and Sterner has been kind of a dbag. I personally liked the old show, time to look for something else on my way home
Clint seems to have cranked up the dbag-ness since he got the full time gig, his delivery is like an overpower cologne you can smell/hear from the next room. Only checked in to hear the new person, next.
I flipped over to 610 while driving home on Wed. not even an hour after the Grienke news dropped, and they were balls deep into some training camp talk. I shouldn't be surprised, but I thought surely I could get some reaction on it at that time (790 was on commercial).
Ya it’s bad. Kamala is much better than I expected I’ll admit. But Sterner’s takes outside of football are so forced. Not to mention he has a horrible radio voice. Heard this hot take from Sterner the other day talking Rockets/Warriors: “I haven’t looked at the schedule yet but sure they’ll see each other a few times before the playoffs.”
Yep, I wasn't sure how Kamla would do...but he's not very good so far. I really liked him when I had some interest back in the day on NBA TV, but damn he's horrible in this environment. I listen from time to time and just this last time he went on a 5 minute rant about how offensive line guards can play tackle as well...he just kept saying the same damn thing over and over, obviously trying to add fluff and burn minutes to stretch out the show. It's was truly cringe worthy...
Honestly the Pendergast/Lord show was the best on the radio as far as I'm concerned except for all those stupid advice segments which were so worthless. What the hell are they doing over there? Stoerner was fine in small doses with Sean kind of guiding him through conversations. Cecil Shorts was also really good on that show.
Did they say that on air, I dont see anything about it. Didn't like him but dam that was fast if true
Looks like he was leaving on his own terms https://www.houstonchronicle.com/sp...ck-Kamla-leaving-SportsRadio-610-14515292.php
