Just be glad we don't have D'antoni. HOF roster and he still can't do crap. Team doesn't know how to play defense at all.

I want a coach who actually knows how to win, preferably someone like Phil Jackson.

If the stats say that it's more efficient for a right-handed boxer to use his right hand, then the boxer is coached to not use his left hand to attack. Where is the problem ?

Some other good options (not in any particular order) Maurice Cheeks, Brian Shaw, Mike Malone, Mike Budenholzer, Phil Johnson

People who want JVG are stuck in the past and fail to acknowledge the guy was a terribly one-sided coach and frustrated the hell out of everybody. I wouldn't mind Avery Johnson.

Get JVG or college hot shots Rick Patino or Billy Donavon. Most NBA coaches are overrated aka D'antoni and Machale?

    Maurice Cheeks....

He would be a good help for JLin and he is familiar enough with Harden so he wouldn't be scared to get on him when needed.

JVG 2.0. We can learn to play defense. If JVG is still blacklisted, I'd say Avery Johnson.

    I don't get the fickleness.

You have a young team with a coach who emphasizes maximum effort every game. A coach with a respectable record sans an All NBA-caliber player up until we snagged Harden from OKC... And this is a bad thing?

I can't believe the one major sticking point for many of you is his tendency to go small ball, the same freaking strategy the Heat utilized to with the championship, when we don't exactly have a stable of elite bigs, ie none.

Dude is an underrated coach and former GM.
