Don't you belong over at Jazzfans.whatever? I'm sure I'm not the only one that has seen you over there talking about how the Rockets have "rubbish" for a team, and using "us" and "we" when describing the Jazz. You are not a Rockets fan, so why even comment on a Rockets player as if you're interested? Not considering the Chinese market influence it is an absolute no brainer to take Dwight Howard or Lebron James. They would legitimize the Rockets as contenders for a decade. Dwight Howard would go nuts in Adelman's offense and doesn't look like he will be injury prone. Lebron is awesome. He would be the next coming of Jordan with a decent supporting cast. Never for Dirk because he's not as good and is old. Not Duncan because he is getting older and sooner or later will lose his hunger. Kobe is the best player in the league so definately yes and then trade McGrady for a decent big man that can rebound and play defense. No to Paul or Deron. Point guards don't win championships, big men win championships. NO to KG, because of age.
There are only two people in the league that I would trade Yao Ming for right now: Lebron James and Dwight Howard. No one else is as valuable as Yao is. I know CP3 is good, but you never trade big for small.
That rule was invented before the league put in the no hand check rule and zone defense. Guards run the league these days.
To the 40% who wouldn't trade Yao for Lebron can't be rockets fans. I loved Francis, but Tmac makes the rockets better. I love Yao, but Lebron would make this team better.
Just trade Yao, please, man! Look what the Rockets did in the playoffs without him! Without Yao, Rockets = Lottery!
Stupid post. I can't believe there are still people starting post like this even when YAO is not playing. Trying to shift the heat from tmac to Yao? Pathetic...
No one. The only person even remotely even trade for Yao is Dwight Howard and that's if he hasn't reached his ceiling yet. Yao is an offensive juggernaut compared to howard while Howard is minutely better at defense.
Yao has no ego and gets along with Tmac very well. One is a post up center the other is a star swingman. They have different roles. Tmac and Lebron might have a hard time coexisting. Both have huge egos and both are swingmen. It'll be VC and Tmac all over again.
As said above Yao is the most selfless player on the Rockets, losing him would be a big locker room punch-to-the-gut.
And both Lebron and Tmac need to touch the ball 80% of the time. They both like the offense to run through them. The pieces just doesn't match. It's like Pippen and Barkley's games didn't fit. And don't forget, Tmac is a volume shooter. He needs close to 20 shots per game to get his numbers. His FG % is pretty bad. If Lebron is here, he needs an accurate side kick not a volume shooter. If Tmac only gets around 12 shots per game, he could easily be 2 for 12 and average under 10 ppg.
