lol, you must have watched that game too, I seen how bosh wasnt backing down to anything....crossed my mind too, but if we were to trade Yao, we could get more than just bosh...thats IF
Also I highly doubt any of those teams would trade any of those players for Yao. Simply because he's already in his mid to late 20s and already is bogging down with injury problems. CP3: arguably best point guard in the NBA right now, plus the youth factor noway Hornets want to trade him for anyone period. Deron Williams: Jazz has the stockton/malone going on with him and boozer, they will not do this trade. Unless its like AK47 or Okur for Yao. Lebron/Kobe: really nothing to say, neither team will do this. Amare: youth factor and also why would they trade one of the fastest big man in the L for a slow down half court game big man under the sun's Nash run and gun offense. Dirk: great stats and contending team every year, health ect. Dallas will not do this, and I doubt Houston wants Dirk. Duncan: Still in his prime, 4 championships, MVP awards, since he was drafted spurs have yet to miss the playoffs, Spurs pass. So in truth its not really who would we trade him for, its who would want to trade with us for him where we would get equal value in return and better this team (not taken into account draft picks).
Im sorry yao is overrated. He is a nice player, can do his 20 points 10 rebounds a game, but he doesnt dominate it. 5 years in the nba and we have yet to see anything exclusive.
Yao won't get traded because of the Chinese market behind him. I just hope that Les would let Tmac go...
I hate how this board overreacts to certain topics like this. With those players, you'd have to at least consider the trade. Those are quality players and this thread has nothing to do with "bandwagoners" or Yao-bashing fans. If anything the OP took a shot at T-mac. I agree.
Houston would get a fair shake if Yao was traded for any of those players in the list except for possibly Dirk. This is considering his past and expected future injury situation. If Yao was an iron man like say Dwight, yeah he shouldn't be traded for anyone straight up except for Lebron, and even that is debatable. 26/10/2.5/2.5 centers don't grow on trees but they need to be healthy enough to be on the court.
Yao should be only traded for Dwight (for the same position), but if allow SG/PG, LeBron and CP3 wouldn't be bad trades for him. On the other hand, I'll trade TMac for anyone on the list, less Dirk.
Wow, what an accomplishment. Let's see what he does against the Pistons in the 2nd round when he's forced to score with his back to the basket. Great rebounder, good defensive player, lucky to have so many legit options on the perimeter early in his career.
Every time you guys oogle at Amare's offensive numbers, look at the stats of the guy he's supposed to be guarding. He's good for the occasional weakside block but that's about it defensively. I would trade Yao for everyone on this list except Amare, Kobe and Dirk (Kobe needs a big to be successful). Doesn't mean we can't go places with him.
If Yao were to be traded, Tracy needs to be traded too. If that scenario happened, I would prefer draft picks to rebuild. Maybe even the number one pick in the draft instead of the players listed. I'm hoping the McGrady and Yao get another shot at it next year. Both their values are low right now ... there really isn't much choice.
