im not a big tmac fan but youd be a fool to pick yao. he gets shut down by fronting defense, isnt clutch AT ALL (you cant give him the ball late because teams will harass him and he'll fumble the ball), and isnt particularly great at defense or passing.

healthy tmac (like when we got him the first year or orlando tmac) is:

better than yao at scoring, closing games, making plays, assists, 1v1 clutchness

healthy yao is better than tmac in:

rebounding, being tall, and maybe blocking shots?

Where are you getting this whole "you guys" thing from? Just because one person asked you doesn't mean you have to start a thread that's been repeated a bajillion times..

there is not much difference between a health loser and an injured loser.

    so, neither of them.

Well, I was the guy who asked you the question and I also would say Yao.

Much younger, a healthy T-Mac is washed up, people get him mixed with a prime T-Mac too much.

Yao is my choice, not very difficult for me.

You really believe a healthy Tracy is washed up? Theres so many things wrong with that. The only thing you can is that hes washed because he can't stay healthy. Just look at the last time Tracy was healthy and had nothing wrong with his body, it was the start of last season and he was playing at a very high level.

Let me add to my choice with Yao Ming.

First off, What is a healthy Tracy McGrady? Because most people on here are acting like a Prime Tracy McGrady is a healthy Tracy McGrady. Sorry, but that is not what a healthy Tracy McGrady is... Tracy McGrady is on a serious decline right now, He's not going to play like what we saw in the 2004-2005 season on the Houston Rockets.

This is not a video game, Tracy McGrady just came off of micro-fracture knee surgery, which is one of the toughest injuries and surgeries to recover from. You guys act like this is NBA 2k9, and even though a player got injured his rating going to be the same when he comes back.

Yao Ming is the much more efficient player as well at the point of their careers. Not to mention Yao's impact is much greater than Tracy's by a mile. Tracy only has one impact and that is the offensive side at least Yao Ming plays the defensive side as well. We saw that NBA.com ranked him as the 3rd best Defensive player in the NBA. Have we ever saw Tracy McGrady ranked that high? No, because T-Mac fans would be praising T-mac even more.

You guys need to realize Prime Tracy McGrady no longer exists and a healthy T-Mac is NOT a Prime T-Mac. .

A healthy McGrady is a McGrady of the beginning of last season.

He was on a tear averaging 27/5/5.

McGrady has also been top 10 in MVP voting consistently especially last year...

If you are talking about his body, Yes Yao Ming's body is a lot younger than Tracy.

Tracy's game is based off of his athletic ability which is gone due to injuries.

Yao's game is based off of skill and size and that's going to be there for a long time. Not sure if it's just me but I don't even think we've seen Yao's real best aside from the beginning of the season of the 2006-2007 season.

Really? How long did that 27/5/5 last? Not very long huh?

McGrady has been.....You are living in the past buddy. I'm in for the future and the present and Yao is the best case for that.

Tracy McGrady is treated like Michael Jordan around here.

If T-mac is "healthy" both physically AND mentally, then it is EASILY T-mac

Do you know why it didn't last?

Well let me tell you why. He had his first of many injuries and after that he wasn't healthy again that whole year really.
