That being said, I would choose Yao hands down if he wasn't easily taken out by fronting and double team. It pisses me off.. if not for that, Yao would be as FRIGGIN DOMINANT as Shaq in his Prime!!! Seriously.

I only care that Yao helps the team get passed the first round in 12 years and doesn't throw his teammates under the bus.
fronting Yao only gave the Blazers 2 wins.

    I prefer 4 wins in a 7 game series.

Could a health Shaq get 13 points in 33 seconds? Why you guys do not compare defense of Yao and Tracy and who can make team as a team.

    hahaha I like this post!

No Shaq can't get 13 points in 33 seconds, but Tracy can't get 1 point in the second round of the playoffs!

    hahahahahahaha

you need to surround yao with very good talent b/c yao is not going to carry you as you saw in this series. multiple players stepped up and he wasn't even the best player in this series.

props for this series goes to morey. the talent pool of this franchise has changed dramatically since daryl took over.

    You're an Idiot.

Race has nothing to do with this argument. I guess by your logic, If you choose Yao, you're a racist against Black people.

Lets see, a big man soon to be the best center in the nba, or a loser whose a bad influence on the team, terrible defensive player and acting like a "superstar" with no balls to dive to the court.

Im not the biggest fan of yao but I hate mcgrady more than I had ginobili and karl malone. They actually have spirit and skillz.

How can you say he wasn't the best player? Portland tried to double and triple team him every time down the court because he was 9-9 in the 1st half. He caused them to change their entire defensive strategy. That opened up the court for everyone else on Houston to go 4 against 3. Do people really think Von is this good? That Scola is this good? Remember when Shaq would get role players more money by playing with him, because he made everyone look better? You think Dennis Scott is REALLY one of the best 3pt shooters ever? No, it's because he got open looks all the time b/c of Shaq. This is the same thing, it's because Yao is the one giving everyone this opportunity.

And don't forget Yao is the one guarding the paint against Portland. Certainly not Scola who was getting abused by Aldridge whenever Aldridge decided to play like a man.

To say Yao wasn't the best player shows real ignorance. Sure, Roy scored more than Yao, but he got his points while not being able to get his teammates involved. Yao didn't get his while everyone else got theirs, and Yao was still able to hold down the paint and grab rebounds. That's why centers are always the most important position, regardless of the rules, since they can control the paint even if they can't get the ball.

Lets see a healthy Mcgrady couldn't get us out of a first rd. While a healthy Yao with no backup center got us into the 2nd rd.

Yao Ming is the best center in the NBA and has been for the last 3 years. Yao Ming as the lead dog has led us to the 2nd round and don't give me some stupid stats that showed Luis Scola led us there, don't be ignorant.

Without the attention Yao drew, we would have been doomed and for those of you who think T-Mac would dominate with this current unit.

    Think again.

Tracy and Artest would not be able to co-exist and I thought we showed that in the regular season earlier this year. Artest was complaining about coming off the bench and he's been content ever since T-Mac went out and ever since he's gotten to start.

Tracy and Artest is worse than the Earlier years of Carter and T-Mac.

I just love how TMac fans are basically saying we have such a great team of role players that any nobody can lead them to pass the first round,

while TMac himself said this is just an average team just before the playoff started.

When they want to make TMac look good while he's playing, they would say our role players suck; when they want to make Yao look bad while TMac's not playing, they would say that we have the best role players of the whole NBA.

This is how player bandwagons work. They blame their teammates and coahces for sucking and praise their player. Most team fans realize who deserves credit and who doesn't.....

It's sad that T-Mac had such bad luck in Orlando and now that he was playing with a contender in Houston, he just gave up.

You can honestly just tell T-mac and Vince Carter are related. They should check Sheed's bloodline as well.

    this made me laugh!

If there was a contest to throw your teammates under the bus
TMac would whip Vince Carter !

Well Vince Carter is a lot more productive than Tracy McGrady. Neither of them have hearts, but I would rather have VC because he still looks like he has years in him. Tracy honestly looks like he's done at this point and if he comes back and he's going to be much worse than Grant Hill is today.

T-Mac just has bad luck, I don't hate him. I just think Yao is the better player when healthy.

    What?? How is T-Mac done?

He's strong enough to throw Yao under the bus, and Yao weighs like 300 pounds!

Lol, I meant his basketball playing. He's no longer an all-star and we all know how much energy he brings when he plays.

    This is how much
    [IMG]

He brings no energy, and brings no excitement anymore when he plays. After 2010 his basketball career could easily be over, because I truly hope we don't re-sign him then.

Oh and tinman, Who's the best center in the NBA?
