Could you deal with losing to Utah in the first round 3 times? Why would you want to play a team that owns Yao? Boozer and Okur give Yao fits.
Just thinking of what's best for the Rockets in order to advance far into the playoffs. I'm not saying they don't have a chance against the Jazz but it's in their best interest to play weaker teams first or teams they match up better against.
New Orlean is the first choice, Dallas is not bad too. Utah is dangerous, Mr. Sloan has found the secret to beat Rockets years ago.
lol Tim Legler just had us to seed #4 to face #5 Nuggets, and he predicts a seven game series. what you guys think? I like this series.
I'd say the Nuggets, followed by the Hornets. Possibly Dallas if we have HCA. There's nothing wrong with identifying bad matchups. That's a big part of the playoffs. I'd love to meet the Jazz and beat their ass. However, I still recognize that it wouldn't be the easiest thing to do in the first round.
If we end up with NO, Portland or Denver i will be very happy... and if we managed to lose to any of them then I think it would be a sign that we are doomed to a future of being losers.
Yeah, it's a good matchup (very exciting). Saw him on SC too, I think he did a pretty good job deciding the spots. 3-4 though, I still think Houston will be 3rd seed.
Yeah seriously. Do you think the Mavericks would be like "Oh gawd we want to play the Warriors in the first round for revenge" ? Play teams which Yao is the most effective against would be the best strategy.
u wouldnt wanna face utah cuase u know the deal, so its very sensetive and we will play under pressure having in mind that we cants loose three playoffs in a row, as far as Dallas, they are weak, but Dallas VS Houston is always a different game, no matter how weak any of em is, its gonna be competitive. so 'll go with 1.Denver(we have their numbers) 2.portland(inexperienced) 3.Hornets( 2 men team, shut down one, u will win) 4.spurs( i dont know why forsome reason i think we can stop them)
y'all are scared of portland? i think there's no easy matchup in the west but after dallas we should dream of getting the blazers. my ranking of the 4 in the op's post is: 1. portland 2. denver 3. new orleans 4. utah i think we can beat any of those teams but when the other teams best player is their pg it hurts our defense more than any other position. utah is double dangerous because of matchup problems with okur. new orleans and denver are really a toss-up but new orleans may be a bit tougher because you can't underestimate paul's greatness/flopping ability. portland wouldn't be easy but roy would be guarded by either of our two best defensive weapons and we're a much better team than we were when we played them before. our halfcourt defense in the playoffs would likely suffocate a young and inexperienced blazers team.
