I wouldn't give up a single young guy. Not even Cam Whitmore. I wouldn't give up a single draft pick either. If they want a package of like Tate, Jeff Green, etc. Okay. Butler is just too old and injury prone at this point.
We just need a big man that can shoot and play the 4 and 5. Kelly Olynyk would be perfect. There isn’t any available star players out there that are worth trading for.
No. 35, injury-prone and would essentially be a one-year rental at ~$50M. He has a player option next year, then becomes a UFA in 26/27.
Reed looks terrible - barely even an NBA player Green was brutal for a whole month before tonight - that player option looking like a disaster Since the Rockets have a deep team with guys on rookie deals, it makes sense to go for it now, and frankly it's possible they're looking to get off Green in a few years, and Sheppard looks like he's not NBA material yet Doesn't seem like a high price to me
If something like brooks, jeff, landale for jimmy works financially you could consider it, definitely not giving up any picks or young guys. He also has a 52 player option and is always a malcontent so that’s not great either. Maybe if you have an agreement where he declines the option and signs like 3/70? Idk, i wouldn’t touch it personally
If this was James Harden and Chris Paul Rockets yeah. He is he is 35 and more importantly what 15th, 16th season. Edwards would be the dream but no way he leaves when he just signed his 5 year contract extension.
