Hamilton, Billups, Ben Wallace, and Rasheed Wallace are all players I consider all-star or near all-star caliber players. They don't need a leader type like Melo that could affect chemistry. They need a great role player.
You are right. My mistake. Anyway, it's even more important that Prince is one more year ahead of Anthony in terms of NBA development. We should wait at least two more years to say which player is definitely better. At this point, Anthony seems to have more potential to be a superstar than Prince.
It depends on the team u have. Detroit pistons dont need carmelo, nuggets need him more. A better question is, who is better, well carmelo has superstar written all over him. Prince is more of a role player, a geat complimentary player ala robert horry whose going to win championships, make the all defensive teams and earn less. While melo is going to be one of the highest paid players in the game, one of its most popular players, nba all star, and like gp and karl malone, ringless
No debate here. Carmelo struggled in the playoffs being the main offensive option for his team and also being a rookie. He'll get better--his athleticism and drive are enough to guarantee that he'll be every bit as good as Prince. That being said, I really do like Prince and I love what he brings to the table and the defensive abilities he has. But this is no contest.
One is a franchise player and the other is a role player. This reminds of the Parker better than Francis thread. What a joke!!!
so you are saying francis is a franchise player. i dont see how a guy that just scores is a franchise player, I guess Big Dog is a franchise player then.
But Prince is a Franchise player. Anthony carried a team into the playoffs who hadn't been there in 10 seasons at age nineteen in the West. Prince didn't even start as a rookie at age 22.
