Who would make for good moderators in the D&D forum?

He is joking with you that he doesn't think you have any reason to be concerned about being banned, etc.

Would not have been my first choice but obviously the majority here seems to differ with me. Then again, since I plan on spending less time in the D&D, maybe it doesn't really matter anyways.

The post he replied "Right on. Great post." to was the only one voicing those concerns.

 

...well I figure it's either a reference to B-Bob being about a week older than dirt...

...(which, by the way, I don't know for sure is true 'cause I'm not into age discrimination so it doesn't matter if he is or not)...

...or it's some poke at B-Bob being a capitalist war-mongerer who profited off the killing of innocent women and children in foreign lands...

...Ask B-Bob when you get a chance. I'm sure he's got a better idea of it than me...

 

For the record, I think people worry about being censored or over-moderated should rest easy. @Clutch hasn't asked me to clean house or anything. I don't suspect I'll even have that type of authority. This isn't even akin to a new sheriff in town. I have no intention of editing posts I don't agree with or reviewing things to determine whether they are truthful or partisan or anything like that.

I can't stress enough that agreeing or disagreeing with me politically has 0% impact on whether I will ever take any sort of moderator action.

There are some lines that get crossed and hopefully simply knowing someone who has some authority is in here reading will keep that from happening. Nothing should change in terms of how most of us use this section. It won't suddenly become a place of compassion and bipartisan agreement. I'm not eager to edit any posts, delete any posts, report anyone for suspension, etc. I'm sure I can work with @Clutch to give you a little clearer set of guidelines for what would even warrant moderator intervention, but honestly, 99% of you shouldn't even notice.

 

What will be your role regarding the policing of ad hominem attacks and name calling?

 

Like I said, I'll work with clutch to figure out exactly what type of guidelines he wants on his BBS. I'm not going to act like this is kindergarten though where everyone needs to be nice to each other. I do know that there are some posters who have historically been continually harassed with personal attacks and I think that should end.
