Eh, we're still 7th in the west. Everyone besides the Lakers are on the same level. We don't suck, but we are not special. I don't care if Mac is gone and Yao in injured.

i remember during the 22 game win streak, the game against lakers(22nd game, I WAS THERE!!!!) was changed to a different time so it can be viewed on national television. Maybe before this season ends we will at least get one game on national tv.

I recall early in the season, DM said something along the lines of "We have a really tough schedule early on -- if we're at .500 at the end of December, we'll be looking good."

This team is the perfect example of the Patrick Ewing theory.

I lol'ed hard. a team without their two stars, played possibly the toughest schedule to start, in the west, and is 7 games above .500 but that's not special? ok budday.

Pretty damn special imo. Take away any other team's two biggest stars and let's see them produce as much as we do consistently. This team never ceases to amaze me.

I had this team picked to win 38 games this season. Boy, was I wrong. I knew they would compete but I didn't know Landry was going to go to another solar system with his level of play. Brooks has been slightly better than I expected too.

What surprises me the most is how this team closes out games. I don't have the numbers but it seemed like in years past, if this team wasn't up by 6+ points in the last 2 minutes of a game they would end up losing it. I know I never felt confident when games where decided by a final possession. That has changed this year. This team has it's "closer" by committee and it's better than it ever was with McGrady or even Yao doing it.

Tracy was a terrible closer because he would settle for jumpshots and wasn't a very good free throw shooter. Yao would always lose the ball in the final minutes.

BTW, in my preseason DD's Rocket talk I predicted 52 wins....still think that is where we are headed.
