Look like another Western team will finish above .500 but just outside the playoffs. Who do you think the 9th place/14th pick will go to this time around?

I think Memphis will sneak in and probably give some high seed teams fits. I think it's probably close between Phoenix and Dallas dropping out but I'm going with Dallas because, you know, F Dallas.

I'm surprised Dallas has so many votes - their point differential over the past 15 games is in the neighborhood of +4 while Memphis and Phoenix are at +0.7 and +1.3 respectively. Yeah they've been mostly mauling bad teams but that differential also involves staying close in their losses.

I'd way rather watch the Suns in the playoffs than the other two, but unfortunately I have a hard time picking a young oddball team over two veteran cores that have made multiple playoff runs together before. (Okay, Dirk/Marion/Vince isn't precisely a "core" but same difference)

I think Hollinger claiming the mantle would be somewhat fitting.

I agree with the 2 votes for OKC.
