Houston's pick actually could be pretty good. I guess it depends on whether you feel they will get in the playoffs or not. As it stands now I dont see it. Even if they got Nene this season it would still be a struggle in my opinion. I agree though that our best chance at making a trade would probably be closer to February. And I agree that in terms of assets the Rockets dont have the most attractive pieces. The Rockets have to try to find the right team that can really use one of our players specific skill sets and then be able to make that trade. As it stands right now, JJ/Nachbar+1st rounder I am not sure would get you Nene. The only way we could make that work is hope that Nene REALLY gets in the doghouse in Denver and they feel they REALLY want to move him for some players that can help them plus a pick. Even still then, you would think the Nuggets would be able to find a better option than what we are willing to give up.
low risk - high reward expiring contract if he sucks limtesd FA... and team gets bird rights AND they get the right to match any offer he signs from another team
mutombo and jj are the most tradeable assets he have. the problem with trading them is that JVG won't trade either. plus if we trade deke we have no back up center. i can't see sura being traded this year either. obviously CD would like to get rid of one of the PF's first, and is shopping them first. boki and the pick might be added with one of them. we might find that our players have more value in february, but can we wait that long?
Yao. This guy sucks donkey ball. Tmac is even considering early retirement because of him. --- P1S2, amed
