    Bev is a great backup.

    A starter on some teams.

The issue is with our team, we have too many players like him. Scrappy defenders / spot up shooters who can;t create. He's good coming off the bench for 15 mpg and playing tough defense/hitting big shots. Just struggles when he has to do too much, like Ariza. And Howard.

MCW? There's only one team that turns the ball over more than us and it's Philadelphia. So you're saying we should get said team's primary ball handler and facilitator? And he can't shoot the three.

There's a word for that: nope.

You will regret having Rubio on the Rockets. Lawson, Collison and Goran are pipe dreams at this time. I am ok with MCW, but not at a prohibitive cost.

What is the fascination with Rubio. My god, the kid can not shoot a lick.

Rubio is extremely young. He's a pure point guard as well.

He can't shoot, but the idea is the same with Rondo that he'd get Dwight and Dmo so many open looks with his decisions.

The only thing is he's nursing some injury every year.

You must spread some Reputation before giving it to dobro1229 again. How tired I get of seeing that...

For a while I was pretty against Rubio and how his 3pt shooting would fit, but at this point his .326 career mark plus all the other advantages he gives over Bevs .368 mark doesn't sound so bad.

Plus I think you could realistically hope for maybe ~34-35% out of Rubio with the likely cleaner looks he would get playing here.

Also, I think it is time to stop throwing T.Jones in deals as if he's a key piece and can net us guys like Lawson and Dragic (especially when those teams have young PFs that are better...)

I agree with dobro, Morey will probably surprise us and end up with Kemba Walker or something :p

lol Minny has Rubio back and starts winning. No way they trade him.
Maybe in the end will be Regie Jackson who is the cheaper to get and could use a change of scenery. I don't see him getting a lot in FA either.

Lance Stephenson just for the laughs.

But that a lineup of JSmoove, Lance and Pat Bev is just mean.

with dwight's career now in question, i think there's little chance morey gives up cap flexibility going forward. so probably stand pat or some minor trade at the deadline..

If Howard cant return to form , the cap is blown thru the 2016-17 season as he wont exercising that player option because it would cost him $$$ and no one in their right mind is going to take that $21.4m contract off your hands unless you pony up a significant asset (or two).

The team doesn't have a whole lot of flexibility as it is , they'd have to let go of key parts to open up any significant cap space in the offseason.

Yes , they can move salary around at the deadline with Terry , Shved. They along with Smith expire but that still leaves them over the cap by ~1.5m pending they haven't been moved.
They could dump KPap and get under by roughly $3m.
Brewer has a player option , not sure if he exercises it or not. If he doesn't , combined with the other moves above they are ~$7.7m under the cap but minus Terry , Smith , Brewer , KPap , Shved.
Don't forget PatBev will be a FA and have a cap hold ... and each open roster spot would have a hold (5 of them) so they wouldn't even have the entire $7.7 to spend.

Sure , they could move Ariza too .... but that doesn't buy you a max FA and a bench.

They pretty much have to fire that bullet at this deadline if they want to add a significant salary.

The cap is going to be ~90m in 15/16, with Harden on that dirt cheap contract, he and Dwight would still only add up to less than 40m, we going to be that unable to find space with about $50m in wiggle room?

The new TV deal wont kick in until the 16/17 offseason , that's when the cap will explode.

They have talked about shifting some portion of that cap expansion into this coming offseason but I don't see the owners giving away money they don't have to.

That 16/17 offseason could be really interesting for the Rockets , especially if Howard is healthy and exercises that option .... they could really improve the team under those circumstances.

I'm going left field with this one .

    Drum line please

Morey has been reading all of our concerns on here.

So Kevin Mchale will be traded by the deadline.

    Lol
