Its hard to say, i think Ming will be a tad more consistant then Griffin, so maybe he'll go unapreciated for it, maybe not? I see Griffin as having some really killer games, and some not so hot games, but all in all, they'll both be pivital figures in this dynasty.

I have to disagree with this... Ming definitely seems to have a better inside game than Eddie right now, but Griffin has shown excellent range on his jump shot, and his form is great too. Ming looks to have a nice shot for one so tall, but I'd have to call Eddie the better shooter right now.

Ming has a 6-7 inch advantage on Eddie for blocking shots, but I haven't seen quite the natural shot-blocking instincts in him as Eddie, and the NBA All-Time blocked shots leader that used to play here. He may have it, but I haven't seen it yet. He still ought to block and alter a ton of shots though (as long as he picks his spots, and stays out of foul trouble)...

Well, I just love to have this topic, because as a previous poster said, they are going to be teamates.

I think Rudy said that if he would have had the top pick, he would have taken Griffin.

And just about every other team in the league except the Lakers would have taken Ming this year.

Yao or Griffin. It really doesn't matter but I still think that Griffin will end up being the best player in the league in 10 years. And if you look at it, he'll only be 29 years old. He will be in the prime of his career.

Ming's pure size and lack of competition will make him an all-star almost from day one.

We have the top three picks basically for the last three years. Not making the playoffs is not acceptable anymore... :D

I know that the 2000 draft was BAD, but to call Collier the best player out of it.....

Oh, unless you're talking about Langhi. Then I agree. :D

Griffin will be better, no question. Right now I give the edge to Ming but give Eddie a couple of years and he could be a 7-foot, 250 lb power forward. A body like that with his hops and outside shot will be unstopable.

I hate to be rude, but, are you brain damaged? You said out of the last three years.

    2002 - Ming
    2001 - Eddie
    2000 - Collier
    1999 - Francis

So get your facts straight before you start rollin' those eyes at me, son.

After watching how Rudy brings in new players, I think ming will used primarily as a three point specialist. He's shoot 45% from behind the arc, and 85% of his shots will come from that area.

Both Griffin and Ming will be the best three-point shooting front court in this history of the game. Except the rocks to win 30 games this year!

The advantage goes to ming in the end though...the Rocks will never have to worry about ordering chinese take-out with high MSG.

    Both!!

Some nites Eddie with da maan. But most nites its gonna be Ming. As others have pointed out...it doesn't matter as long as they are both get better.....and better (over Mo/Kt and Cato) as well as keep improving.

I dont know. But you can get the answer by putting both of them in front of all the teams, having only one pick, how many teams will choose Ming , how many will go with Griffin? You will know exactly what the pros are thinking.

Griffins career averages will be in the neighborhood of 22 pts., 11 rebs. 3 blks., 1 stl., 1 asst.

Mings career averages will be in the neighborhood of 17.5 pts. 12 rebs. 4 blks., 1 stl. 4 assts.

But, wow doesn't your mouth drop when you see stats like these? Mine does, because this makes the Rockets the best team in the league for 10 to 15 years!!

It disturbs me very much that a primary asset of both our future 4 and our future 5 is the ability to shoot well from the outside .

Is Francis going to lead the team in rebounds again?
