I don't think it'll ever happen. Well, not at least for the foreseeable future. A Republican woman candidate couldn't make it out of the primaries, but could win the general election if she made it somehow. Such a candidate would be fearsome. She'd get the standard conservatives (even mysoginists wouldn't switch party lines to vote for a woman) plus a lot of moderate women who would see it as a historical opportunity. A Democrat female candidate could get nominated, butcouldn't win the general election, since Democrats have to attract "just enough" of the good ole boy vote to win. There are quite a few conservative Democrats who would cross party lines to vote for a man.
Hillary will run in 2008 or at worse 2012 [she will keep her promise not to run in 2004] Dole may try in 2004 but i don't see her getting a good shot against an incombent president. . . so 2008 is the year to take her shot 2008 maybe an issue for Dole because Colin Powell may run [I HOPE AND PRAY THAT HE WILL BUT STILL JUST OH STILL JUST A BILL] 2008 maybe the year of the non white guy running Colin Powell vs Hillary Clinton Rocket River but who will be their running mates?
I wanna see her/him naked. NOTE-This is the first and only time you will see me type I want to see her/him naked.
I'm confused. Do you mean Barbara Lee from Oakland? She is amazing... At a recent rally, she spoke and was very inspiring. Candid, passionate, and brave... what democrats really need.
I think Stephanie McMahon has an outside shot, but she'll have to get in a rip the dress off match with her vice candidate Kirsten Dunst. Either that or the Olsen twins go for first female and co-presidents ever with no V.P.
Will not be a woman in my lifetime. I HOPE!! Could you imagine what it would be like??? Every 28 days we would have to worry about her flowing kinda heavy and blowing up the world!
oh my. hope you're kidding. or did you just drop in out of some sort of time warp? (hint: from the past). Either way, I'm going to get out the marshmallows for this one.
It wa only a joke. It would have been a funnier one if this were a forum which more women participated. Just one of those things you can say to stir up conversation & ruffle the feathers of women. In all honesty, I believe there will be a black VP or Pres before a woman. Not being a "pig" as Mrs B labeled me, I just think that will occur first.
About as much as a blue dress with a stain on it. Not to mention, a woman who is old enough to be elected president is most likely going to be post-menopausal.
