    Rick doesn't like to give out the actual title of captain, but i think last year he said that Shane and Chuck were the captains...

    wow ppl must be rlly bored to make threads like this ...who cares who the team captain is ..all they do is talk to the refs at the beginning of a game and do other minor things ...completely useless :rolleyes:

    "For the Rockets, the issue of captain is of so little concern, the designation of Hayes and Battier was largely made by athletic trainer Keith Jones and only because he was asked."


    "But there are times the Rockets captains will be asked to do more than chatting up officials and choosing the color of shoes and socks.

    “Every now and then, if the team has to lodge a complaint, the captain has to do it,” Battier said. “So if guys are complaining about something, they'd make me go talk to the coach or Daryl (Morey, the general manager) about it. Every now and then, a team meeting. But if I wasn't quote-unquote team captain, I'd speak up.”

    The "official" captain/co-captain should be Aaron Brooks so he can learn to be political with refs when calls don't go his way. Shane's still the real captain crunch.
