    2003 NBA Finals, Game 6

Tim Duncan: 22 points, 20 rebounds, 10 assists, and 8 blocks

    2 blocks short

What does "mostly likely" mean, when we are talking about a group of players who mostly likely will never accomplish the feat.

The "it's easier for centers than guards" argument could mean, this is the least likely era in NBA history to see a quad double.

I think Allen Iverson was close one time.

    Nope.

    8-8-8-8 Club
    Ron Artest (1)
    Alvin Robertson (3)
    Michael Ray Richardson (3)
    Fat Lever (1)
    Michael Jordan (1)
    Clyde Drexler (3)
    Mookie Blaylock (1)
    Larry Bird (1)

    Quad Club:
    Alvin Robertson

    Missing by One...
Michael Ray Richardson (missing 1 steal)
Clyde Drexler (twice), once needing a rebound; the other an assist.

    Missing by Two...
    Robertson (2 steals away)
    Lever (2 steals away)
    Blaylock (2 rebounds away)
    Bird (2 steals away)

So, there you have it, the 8-8-8-8 club on steals only has 8 members. None are currently active except Artest.

The 8-8-8-8 Club using Blocks instead of Steals...looks rarer (except, Wilt and Bill Russell never had blocks counted):

    Chris Webber (1)
    David Robinson (2) one quad
    Hakeem Olajuwon (2) two quads
    Kirilenko (1)

There's one name there that just doesn't belong in that group.

If Kobe wants to do it before he retires and doesnt care about the lakers winning, then I say Kobe will do it.

I don't think it's that easy. The 4th column is steals or blocks. You don't just go out and do that if you want to.

by far the hardest stats to get double figure in are the steals and blocks.. I can't see anyone getting it done easily... someone mentioned Rondo, Lebron, Wade and Howard.. I would start with those guys and maybe add CP3.. I don't see it happening in the near future though.
