Thibs, please and thank you! Even though I would be elated to have JVG back (my favorite basketball personality)

I would take Scott Brooks if it means a shot at KD.

He's not an elite coach but good enough to put talent together like Spoelstra

The short list seems pretty obvious:

    Thibs
    Brooks

JMO, but I think Harden holds the ultimate power here....he's the face of the franchise. He played under Brooks, and Thibs was supposedly a big part of Harden's growth last year.

I think it will be Brooks, but I want Thibs.

    John Calipari anyone?

I know he has the cushiest job in all of basketball but the Rockets is helluva tempting NBA team to land on.

Van Gundy already stated he is no coaching again. You can remove his name

Scotty Brooks played Thabo over Harden and kept running out a club bouncer (Kendrick Perkins) for a center. Those are HUGE red flags.

Why so Scott Brooks can run isos for Harden down 1 with 10 seconds left?
Thibs? No. George Karl? Past his days.
Ron Adams to me would be an intriguing idea, defensive minded, has worked with both Harden and Durant in OKC if the Rockets go all in for Kevin Durant.

Thabo was an elite defender and harden was 6th man

You have to remember that some things are within your control has an HC, and some things are not.

What concerned me more with OKC under Brooks was that their offensive system seemed to rely too much on stars being stars rather than a true team effort.....ie the Rockets offense to date.

MVP-candidates aren't 6th men. You make it work.
