IMO, if Appel and Gray are essentially even, I think the Stros favor Gray. My thinking is 1) The Stros would love to pick up a bit of the OU fan base from North Texas ( ) and 2) They may still have reservations from last year about Appel and his agent trying to take them to the cleaner's on the signing bonus.
I dont know how much Roger knows about scouting, but I'm assuming this means Appel and Gray. I know this doesn't mean anything to y'all, but I never ever dream about baseball. Last night I dreamt I was watching the 2013 draft and the Astors pulled a wild card and drafted Kris Bryant, and he signed for 4 mil flat. The dream and my reaction (stunned/excited) to the pick felt so real lol.

Doubt it would happen. Likely a top 5 pick, which means he could expect that type of bonus even outside the top pick. $5M is a more likely figure for someone in Bryant's position. Dreams do come true though. I think more likely at this point is if Appel or Gray will bite at $6M. Could also target Meadows/Bryant/Frazier/Manaea in the $5M range, though I want no part of Frazier.

IIRC 21 homers leads college hitters. Kris Bryant stats AVG 0.353 OBP 0.529 SLG 0.897 OPS 1.426 The OBP might catch Luhnow's eye, which makes Bryant the leading dark horse candidate for 1.1.

Gray will most likely be facing Trey Masek, who is expected to be a high pick in June. Indiana State is on the road, as they take on the University of Tennessee at Martin. Sean Manaea will start on Saturday. San Diego hosts San Francisco. Entering this series, Kris Bryant is hitting .352/.523/.883 with 21 homers and 44 RBI. He's drawn 50 walks and struck out 28 times, and he's also 6-8 on steal attempts. The 21 homers lead the nation. Appel walked off with a 2-1 loss against Oregon. He went 8 1/3; the run that lost him the game was unearned. He allowed 8 hits, walked 2, and struck out 9 on 116 pitches (84 strikes).
This year he is striking out 10.75 players per 9 innings, 84 in 70.1 innings (Not counting today). Up from the 9.5 K/9 of last year. I hope this answers your question

Wow I just realized I misunderstood the question. Is anyone else worried about the high pitch counts? Only one game below 100 pitches and most above 110. Isn't Stanford known for this?
