I hope so. That is when its really fun. I wonder though if it will ever be the same. As long as the football & basketball teams have been down the rivalry has suffered significantly. Now Texas & OU in both sports and even baseball to a certain extent, have moved forward so much, it will take some time. I am still pissed you guys f**ked up and went on probation. That ruined the best part of the football rivalry. Thanks aggy! Good luck. We look forward to keeping more kids in all sports in the state.
Sorry refman, this board does not have the proper burnt orange color, I just use it for effect. You know I'm not really a vindictive person or anything, it just states in section 9 of the longhorn handbook for incoming students: Ribbing Aggie and OU fans is a must, if you violate these codes you will have to spend a week on the drag with all the homeless people, as punishment. A little humor does everyone some good if you ask me.
I saw his son play one time...He kind of looked like a bryce drew. He was definitley a hustler.dude was on the floor and diving in the stands with no regard for his body.He was actually one of the only Ags that seemed to give a damn about that game,
Well, they've reached an agreement in one day? Wow. Or, could there have been prior contact? I think this thing started after the VT loss. The seed was planted then, imo.
If I were Drew Tate, I woudn't decommit. The Aggies burned Reggie's redshirt this year. Assuming Tate shirts next year, he'll still have two years as a starter after McNeal leaves. Assuming that he wins the job after McNeal graduates, Tate could finally be the passing QB that A&M has wanted for years. Corey Pullig, Randy McCown, Branndon Stewart, and Mark Farris were all busts under the RC Slocum regime. Now that RC is gone, maybe that will jumpstart the Aggie passing game. However, there is still the idea that Fran favors a ground game. Well, Derek Farmer is a solid back, but he's no gamebreaker. UT has been getting all the RB recruits in the state for the last 3 years. 2000: Cedric Benson 2001: Selvin Young/Albert Hardy 2002: Erik Hardeman (#1 RB in TX, #8 in US) Meanwhile, look at the Aggie RB recruits during that span: 2000: Derek Farmer, Keith Joseph 2001: Oschlor Flemming 2002: Derrick Brown In other words, Fran will have no choice but to pass the ball. Tate should stay at aggy.
Derick Brown is as good if not better than Erik Hardeman. Brown is way underrated. Also the Aggies got the best fullback in Texas in Chris Alexander from Humble. He is a great runner who could be a power back in college. I got to see him in a game against A&M Consolidated, and he distroyed the Tigers defense which is one of the best defenses in the state.
i'm not sure where this is coming from -- at new mexico, he used a wide-open passing attack; he adjusts to the talent on hand. since he has a tendency to jump around a bit, he's usually having to adjust of the fly to whatever the program's done (in recruiting) prior to his arrival.
