I think Capela will start and play 24 minutes and Nene will come off the bench for the other 24 minutes.
I love Nene signing at that price, but I'd be disappointed if Capela isn't starting next season if we didn't make another major move. He was a bit under-utilized last season, and I think he's ready to take the next step next season. Of course Capela is still raw, so perhaps he isn't ready yet, but I'd like to see him get the opportunity. I think Nene would be content with playing the reserve role.
So I know I'm dreamcasting, but if Whiteside backs out and we can find the cap room to sign him, Clint instantly becomes a huge trade chip.
Nene ... first 7 min, then second quarter last 5 min, second half first 5 min, last quarter first 3 min ...after 24 games injury ....
I think Nene will start. Clint needs one more year to develop and Nene is ready to start now. People will be shocked at how productive he is in this system. Also, I feel like Nene could've fetched more money or a better title shot somewhere else. He was clearly promised a role he couldn't get anywhere else here.
Can Whiteside back out? I don't think we're done with centers just yet. There seems to be a number of possible trades from 76's (Okafor and Noels), Vecevic and question over whether Kings are prepared to lose Cousins in 12 months for nothing. I'm not convinced Capella is ready to start or play 30min pg just yet. He's a year or 2 away IMO.
All the centers will play, doubt any of them, including the youngster Capela, will have the wind or the legs to play more than 20 mpg, not at MDA's pace.
anderson's a good choice anderson ariza harden gordon bev lights out shooting for both teams, only we're better.
I see: PG, Bev Harden, Gordon Ariza, Dekker Anderson, Beasley, Harrell Capela, Nene ...with Harden playing a lot more 3; KJ and Brew likely traded; DMo signs elsewhere or is renounced.
