why? he was wrong, wrong, wrong in iraq and a myriad of other national security issues. he has advocated for policies which have done great damage to our country.

trump spent the last three years saying how stupid it was to go into iraq (i agree with him) and he just hired one of the biggest cheerleaders and someone who still says it was the right thing to do. trump says regime change is none of our business and just hired someone who is constantly pushing for it all over the world.

    is this "draining the swamp"?

It's fine Trump says its okay now. Isolationism is like deficit spending or concerns about the NSA in this country- people only care when they don't have the White House

I guess this would make some sense why Trump wanted him. And why @Commodore like him. He is going to uncover the deep state.

Yes, the administration will spend its time on imaginary conspiracy theories that both these guys love. They will feed each other's conspiracy-minded fantasies and it will run rampant.

Don't be surprised if John Bolton doesn't last. He and Trump have been speaking for weeks and Trump already does not like the guy. He got the job because Trump's hatred of McMaster reached an unsustainable boiling point. McMaster flat out refused to be deferential when briefing Trump.

I'll mention two things: (1) Bolton draws a lot of attention to himself, which bothers Trump. I suppose he could tone this down if he tried. We'll see. (2) Trump is really bothered by Bolton's mustache (I'm not joking).

If I was David Dennison, I'd hire the chick from showtime's homeland to replace Bolton. The miss universe who had a threesome tape as my new press sec to distract members of the evil media.. Sarah's done an unbeelievable job but the lies are almost every other word. sarah might break down any day.

Who would have thought that a republican Senator would have to give this advice to a US president?

John Bolton runs into potential ethics issues before he becomes Trump’s national security advisor

    • John Bolton is continuing to meet with White House attorneys over possible conflicts of interest, stemming from his interactions w Cambridge Analytica (CA)

Bolton had previously run a Super PAC, ~ 2014, funded by the Mercer family, who had also financed CA. the CA whistle blower, in his Testimony to UK's Parliament, had produced multiple memos referencing Ambassador Bolton and the Bolton project, financed by the super PAC, which had hired CA to harvest voter data for certain elections in the US

Congratulations to Mr. Bossert. He should thank John Bolton for forcing him out of a job he didn't have sense enough to quit. He might have gotten out just in time.
