Just like teams don't need "bangers", teams don't need "enforcers". What you need is players to do the job it takes to get it done. That means as long as you're not a perimeter oriented team, you can and have the chance to win with the right personel. Who is the banger or enforcer for Sacramento?. Who fits that bill for the 95 Rockets or 91-93 Bulls. Better yet, who was the enforcer or banger for the 80's Lakers or 80's Celtics?

What the Rockets need is just players in the pivot who can rebound, play tough and score. Mo Taylor ,Cato, nor Eddie Griffin will be this mythical banger or enforcer because its not in their nature. What they can do is become good and consistent inside. Griffin can be a force if he can just be like Horace Grant of the 90's Bulls. Hit the consistent 15ft er, grab 10-11 rebs, a couple blks and 12 ppg. He doesn't have to be Lucas nor any other 70's model that people used to think helped teams. A team whom many called soft has won 2 rings , the Spurs.

This is true. We really don't have anyone that's willing to mix it up in the paint and cause hell!

I was hoping that Malick Badiane could fill that role.

    It was Wes Matthews ...

In one game he took exception to an opponent's play (Wes Matthews of the Lakers) and grabbed his throat in both hands and proceeded to throttle him.
