...when you were growing up, playing whatever sport or activity? Who did you pretend to be while you played in the park, driveway, backyard, wherever?

Of course, being a lifelong Rocks & Oilers fan, I was always Dream or Lewis Lloyd (I was hurt when he got busted) & Earl Campbell.

I wasn't anyone during baseball season (Nolan Ryan was a little TOO 'Large' for me to pretend to be, as was Reggie Jackson).

And for a while, I was consumed by Tony Dorsett, but who wasn't (Anybody owned a pair of Tony Dorsett shoes and cleats?), as well as Lynn Swann and Franco Harris (Though, being an Oilers fan, I HATED the Steelers. I admit, I'm just starting to like Bradshaw, boy I used to hate him! [IMG] ).

    Thoughts?!

Basketball: Clyde Drexler - my game still resembles his today... though a much smaller scale
Baseball: Ryne Sandberg - I admit I was a Cubs fan during the Sandberg, Andre Dawson years. Back then, Sammy Sosa was a just a no good rookie who struck out too often. [IMG]

Of course, now I have come to my senses and am a hardcore Astros fan.

I was Evel Knieval ages 4-7.
I was the Six Million Dollar Man ages 4-9
    I was Spider-Man ages 6-12 or so.

I didn't have any sports heros until later in High School, when I finally discovered how cool basketball was.

Ken Burrough. Old double zero was my man! In fact, even though the chamionship years of the rockets were great, nothing will compare with bum's oilers in the late seventies. Luv ya blue is burned in my heart.

Joe Montana. I can't tell you how many times I was trying to lead the team 92 yards in 2 minutes for the Super Bowl. [IMG]
