Do you guys know why his name isn't M.Bison in the states? It's because M.Bison is a carbon copy of Mike Tyson. And since they didnt want to get a lawsuit from him, they swapped all the bosses names (excluding Sagat) over here. M.Bison was changed to Balrog. Vega was changed to M.Bison. and Balrog was changed to Vega.

Sorry, I don't associate myself with people that don't even know when clutch city started! And you call yourself a real Rockets fan? :p

Judging by his posts, I'm gonna assume 93 is his birth year.

the 1994 season starts in late 1993. Hence 93. ClutchCity9394 would be a dumb nick.

Come on...I already said that I wasn't the best SF2 player. That would be like Hakeem Olajuwon challenging Olden Polynice to a game of one-on-one.

clutchcity93...bwahahaha! Didn't have enough money to buy "clutchcity94" huh? :D

Awesome thread. I was primarily a Ryu user, and could kick a fair amount of ass.. but, as an old friend of mine always used to say, "your Ryu is overrated". Not without some truth, too

Instead, I dominated with the characters I used less often  My Dhalsim was simply unstoppable (because he was unhittable) while my Guile was pure pixelized ownage. I could never get the hang of Zangief, though

    Memories, memories..

    in 1993,
    in galveston texas
at an old high school gym.

a team came to training camp.
    a mission.

not to simply win an NBA title.
    but

    to save the WORLD.

Yes! Sagat had his limits but he was my fav by far. Technically I guess you couldnt select him until SF2 turbo. But still. His style, his size, the depth of his character and rivalry with Ryu. I feel like a kid again!

No, it would be the correct one. No one refers to our championship seasons as the "93" or "94 season". It's always the "93-94 season" or "94-95 season". The NBA itself uses 2 years to denote when a team won a championship. Click here for proof.

And even if, by some strange chance, the NBA DID use one year for designating championships, it would be the SECOND year when the Finals were played, not the first. Thus, our championships would be in "94" or "95" ... but NEVER in "93". Case in point: Miami won the 2006 NBA Finals, not the 2005 one.

So, any way you slice it, your nickname is just plain wrong. I demand that you give back your Clutch City membership card on the grounds of stupidity.

must i reveal you the reason why I call myself 93?

lets say you called yourself ClutchCity20202020
would anyone say hey Vescey, the rockets didnt win anything in 20202020
its several millions of years away

so just because 93 appears to be close to the champions years doesnt necessarily mean thats why i picked it.

Plus I'm so TRUE TO THE ROCKETS. None of you have Rockets Nicks on Xbox live. That makes me pure Vescey. That makes me pure.

Nah, I don't have an Xbox.. after my Genesis gave out on me in the 90s (and after I stopped sobbing like a little b**** when that happened) I moved on to PC gaming and haven't looked back. Don't really like all these new-fangled versions of Street Fighter, anyway

So there's no chance for you to witness the floating grace of a true Dhalsim master, sorry :D YOGA FLAME!!

There was no Clutch City until we beat the Phoenix Suns in the playoffs in 1994.
