You ever play indoor ping pong under a black light? Very cool. You get some black light paint and paint all the lines, the edges of the net, the rims of the paddles, and the balls. Put a double 48" black light over the table and turn out the rest of the lights. Drink a lot of beer or whatever elevates your sense of being one with the ping pong ball. Enjoy. The streaks of light will remind you of The Streak. I used to play this version of ping pong in the 1960's. Will we ever lose again? Who knows??
I was born at the end of '72... so nope. In honor of the "Yes" reference: Listen to the audio on this video... Are you kidding me? I'm 43 and was seven years old (and far from almost any basketball thoughts) when the last 20+ streak was on.
Black lights? We didnt have lights at house. I know those outdoor concrete pingpong tables in China. You hit the ball with some spin, some juice and it might come back right at you.
I don't remember when the wall came down, but I DO remember hearing all about East Germany and West Germany rejoining. Heck, I still had maps of East and West Germany until I was in like 3rd grade (born 1984).
I think that Bucks team was the first NBA team I remember... Lew Alcindor and Oscar. I always thought "Lew Alcindor" was great name.
Get out. The wall came down, you dont remember. It felt like end of somthing to me. I was like what now, there is no more East Germany, no more Soveits, no more cold wars, what now??
It was a custom job. We painted it ourselves and hooked up the black lights. Just a heck of a lot of fun. I'm sure you'd kill me in a match!
Talking about internet. When my son grows up, he would never know how it was like when I was a kid. We didnt have a TV when I was a little kid. Then the first set was a 12 inch black and white. Cable, forget. It took us whole night to get a clear picture. I used to hold the rabbit ear whole night to finish a show. hahaha. Good times. Postive note. We didnt have computers, so we did lots of outdoor activities. Kids actually interacted with each other back then.
Elgin Baylor, Jerry West, Gail Goodrich, and Wilt Chamberlain Lakers system bugged their way to their 33 winning streak, Rockets's 20(soon to be 21) is more impressive since they're stucked with buncha blue collar guys except Tmac and Yao, and Yao was done after streak 12. Plus the rules are lot defferent back then, today you can literally Western Lariat your opponent and only get one technical...
