interesting that someone brought this thread back from the dead. notice how people think this thread is somehow an anti-Yao Ming thread. lol. i'm guessing there would be a lower percentage of barkley fans in houston/texas because of time and the influx of newer fans. which means we need to teach them about an important part of team history.
the Barkley Houston Era existed. Pre-Barkley = Rockets never on national TV During-Barkley = Rockets were always on national TV

I enjoyed Charles' sojourn as a Houston Rocket. He played well, doin' his thing on the court as only Sir Charles could manage. Rebounding in double figures, game in and game out, an excellent passer, could score when on a roll. Took up space on defense (he was good at taking up space!), not being as much of a liability there as I thought he'd be before Charles came to Houston. My favorite Barkley memory has to be his take down of Shaq by the basket during a game. It was so freakin' beautiful! Picked him up like he was an overstuffed Japanese sex toy, and drove him to the floor.
as much as i liked hurry and sam i was happy cuz the point was to beat seattle, i always thought that after 95 we shoulda got thorpe back that summer, he was a fa...and not resigned chilly pete and some others to. 95-96 starters horry thorpe olajuwon smith drexler in 97 i thought we had it. too bad 98 we were all banged up and 99 we didn't have enough time to gel..i dint mind barkley we just got injured a lot
