Team got to the WCF. When did Boston or Atlanta make it the any conference final last? The point though is if Harden can't attack free agents, says he's going to skip the olympics to help recruiting and we still get squat then maybe we should just trade Harden after this season.
LOL. You folks are bunch a whiney babies who probably can't make it in the real world. Soooooo much complaining and emo.
I think we offered 72. But in reality his contract was better with ATL because of the player option so he still chased money.
We offered 72M but only a 2M difference so can't really blame him for choosing to stay home. If we offered 76M or 80M then maybe it would be a bigger outlier.
Typically as a player if all things are equal you stick with the team you're already on, especially if it means playing in the Eastern conference.
What exactly does Harden have to do with anything? Players aren't joining because Morey refuses to pay up, we hired D'Antoni & there's a severe lack of talent on this roster. You think LeBron goes back to Cleveland if they didn't already have Kyrie, Wiggins, Tristan Thompson & Waiters? Our roster is literally Harden & a whole lot of scrubs, that's not appealing at all for the big names. Same thing happened with LeBron durng his first stint in Cleveland.
Just as much as ΓΌ want to speculate it's on everyone else except harden he is very much part of this. Harden isn't immune to any of the criticism here. So What when a FA wants to come here it's because they want to play with him largely but when guys turn down offers and not even get physical meetings that's has nothing to do with him. I just can't agree there. He's the best player on the roster. It's not all on him but he very much is a significant factor. It's really no secret this past year damaged his image due to a variety of issues we've all discussed time and time again throughout the year. Couple that with all the issues with the team, coaching etc it just isn't a place guys want to come to right now
It's not their reputation that's at issue but rather their prospects for legitimately contending for an NBA title. Sad to say, they are the lowest they've been since the early 2000's. FA players can clearly see this and with all teams flush with money from the expanded salary cap, there's no real incentive for them to choose the Rockets. And no amount of hubris or self importance by the Rockets is going to change this anytime soon. It's way past time for this organization to quit looking for gimmicks and shortcuts and get serious about doing whatever it takes to go about assembling a team that can win something. As long as fans can see some substantive efforts being made and not the BS we've been given over the past decade, they will be willing to have faith in this organization. And this organization will be worthy of their faith and support.
No other player wants to come here and watch ISOBALL for a whole season. No one wants to be second fiddle to a second fiddle.
