I think that would be a good idea. There are only 4-5 Rowdies that are BBSrs. Plus it would be silly to create a thread here everytime just our group wants to organize something. Pretty cool that the Rockets distributed MY YouTube video as official record of the event. Oh, and I guess Jeff did a little something too.
Apparently we've been on TV more times this weekend. Anyone find the links to videos and/or youtubes? ABC apparently did a special.
I caught another one that is all the same stuff but it is a little longer. If you guys want, I can YouTube it.
Man, i wanted to go but i wasn't able to make it up there, b/c i had to work and couldn't make my props. But i heard that they will give away 10 tix b4 the game and 10 during the game. is that true b/c if it is i will be trying my best to join you guys in the games i can attend when i don't have to work. Any info answering my question, i would really appreciate it.
krosfyah, that would be great if you youtube it. I won't be surprised if they show us again tonight on sports sundays on fox and nbc. B-Ball guy, we have our first meeting next week, so we'll find out more info. But yes, they will be giving 10 tix away before the game and 10 during to crazy fans to fill the section. Also, one of my friends practically owns the naming rights to the Toyota Center, so he sits right next to the Rockets bench. Whenever he goes to the games, I'd be happy to give you my seat, for I'd be moving up to the court next to the Rockets bench. I'll see if the Red Rowdies would allow that first, though.
Crap, my DVR already compressed the file to AVI and my video editor doesn't read AVI's. So I don't know off hand how to edit the file. Know any free AVI editors? I'll record Fox Sports Extra and FSN Final Score to see if either of them run another story. If they do, I set it to record MPEG2, edit it and YouTube it.
that would be great docgundy. If you wouldn't mind, next week after your meeting can you post up some of the info so i can stayed tuned in? i would really appreciate it.
I figured out how to edit my AVI to cut out the rest of the broadbast. Enjoy. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_jqZonr6VwI"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_jqZonr6VwI" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="600" height="350"></embed></object>
So we had our meeting today. If you want to get one of the 10 tickets they'll be giving away each game, then they advised that you get there early. The closer you are to the front of the line, the better. That said, I don't recall him saying exactly when they'll start. They'll probably figure that out as they go along. But the front doors open 90 minutes before the game ...so I'd say AT THE LATEST... be there by 6 for a 7:30 game. If you want to be first in line, be earlier. ...and make sure you are wearing red!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (seems obvious but I guarentee you some people won't ...and they won't get tickets).
