What would staying have done? My name is on record as being one of the 30 or so losers who did not make the 1st cut -Did some of the other losers (1st round exit folks) stay that you noticed and somehow get rewarded for their loyalty for staying?
The guy wearing the afro pulled us aside and among other things mentioned that any unused tickets will go to alternates but he didn't say what the criteria was to get picked. Sorry dude.
Maybe Les Alexander (aka da man with the master plan, you da man Les!) will find it in his heart to hook us Rockets Red Rowdie outkast up for our loyalty to the cause, that was quite an experience this morning, haha. LET IT GO RON... Anyways, congrats to all who turned your rowdyness/ creativity/ loyalty up a few notches for that half minute judgement cause you deserved it for sure, great ideas and costumes no doubt...
There were about 60 people in attendance. Really crazy folks. I've been whittling down the 377 shots I took - I kept having to make additional space on my Flash card forgetting that I brought a spare. Doh! My D70 was whirring.
Cool. I brought my camera but when I got there the battery was dead. Doh! So I totally need to get some of those shots as my family is having a hard time beleiving I was wearing red latex. I was the guy wearing the original Red Rowdy t-shirt, spiky red wig, latex face and red "skirt" thing. I was contenstant #2 in the 1st round. So if you happened to get any good shots of me, I'd really appreciate it.

There was a rep there from the Rockets that will be the "organizer" of the Rowdies. He said they absolutely don't want any empty seats in this section. So if I had to miss a game for some reason, I'd let the Rockets know so they get somebody else to fill my seat. I bet also that if you were a no-show a couple times, they probably reserve the right to yank your tickets from you. They didn't say that but I'm sure.
Hey guys, I won the Red Rowdy contest too! I have always browsed around Clutchfans.net, but I finally joined. I love the the entire motivation for this site. The try-outs this morning were awesome. It was great to be in the same place as so many hard-core Rockets fans. I cant wait for the season to begin! BTW, I was the JVG look-a-like in the red custom Rockets suit. I also had a "Jeff Van Gundy aint no snitch" t-shirt, with 610, clutchfans.net, and realgm on the back! If you guys have any pics of me, please post them. (FYI, I have the largest collection of Rockets Memorabilia of anyone on the net. I took pics of my office and the Rockets/610 staff, said it was the most amazing collection of Rockets items they have ever seen. I own almost (98%) all Rockets collectors items......ever!) It was a great time today, and I enjoyed everyone! I HAVE SEASON TICKETS!!!!

Yup, I was one of the final 12 that had to answer a question from the judges to get the tickets. I was #265, wearing the blue pinstriped Rockets away shorts, a new school red shirt, and the 94 champs hat. I thought that was Jeff taking pictures, but I wasnt sure, you rock
I watched the latter part of the competition cause I went with my friend to check out our seats for Season Tickets we bought already to see if we could change our seats and tried to find out more info for our Miami trip (btw, did anybody else hope on this deal? probably make a thread about it later) but it was a great time watching everybody, very very entertainning. I was dissappointed that like less than 100 people showed up, once my tix rep told me that was the case, my friend and I were pissed at ourseleves that we should've done something. He wanted to bring his Yao heads he made like 2 seasons ago, and we could've done something with those Everybody who won, really really deserved it. If anybody remembered 2 asian dudes at the top near the concessions just chilling eating our free hot dogs, that was me in the all white McGrady jersey. I saw Jeff on his way out, wonder if he knew it was me....

Ok, guys. After looking again, I took over 450 pictures. It would be nice to put a face with a monikker. Just a couple of notes on the photos: 1. Don't Photoshop them for anything other than to put an arrow on a group photo that says "me" or whatever UNLESS YOU ASK ME. 2. You are welcome to blog them or post them anywhere on the net as long as you link back to the photo or my general page. You can click the button above each photo that says "All Sizes" and grab any one of a number of different sizes of photos. Flickr even gives you the code to cut and paste into your blog. And you can post any of them here as well, but you probably should choose one of the smaller sizes so the load is faster. 3. If you want a bigger version of a photo of yourself that is in there, just let me know. I should be able to oblige as long as I don't get 100 requests all at once. Just email me. Enjoy.
