I hate the Jazz. As long as they are in Utah and Jerry Sloan is the coach and they continue to seek out a certain "type" of player, I will hate the Jazz. I really hate the Mavs as well since the Cuban era started. I don't really hate the Spurs, though (barring the days they play the Rockets). Too much respect for Duncan and their player management. I would rather they win than most other teams in the West except for Houston because they play real team basketball as opposed to the me-first superstar mentality that has a vicious hold on the NBA. The flopping and cheap shots by Bowen are disappointing, though. I hate the Lakers as well, but mostly because of the media love-fest. Same for Boston. I didn't really care one way or the other about the Celtics (I didn't care about basketball inthe '80's) until this year when they were suddenly the salvation of the NBA. Give me a break. The only people that want to see a Celtics-Lakers final are the media and fans of those two teams. Screw them. Only the Rockets matter...
okur - flops and loves to push behind the back to get the rebound. ak47 - flops ... alot, but it looks normal cause ... can't describe it.. but the way his body is/moves... it's like a chicken. harping - doesn't flop alot, but loves to throw elbows and small physical crap. boozer - nothing i hate about him with us, but he did cheated on cavs i have respect for williams, brewer, korver, and milsap. (though, milsap tends to foul alot, but he doesn't do it trying to hurt someone but more like chuck hayes foul...) williams is a very nice player, and brewer is turning out to be one. i remember last year, he couldn't make that 18 ft jumpshot, but he makes it when he's open. and he also burned tracy several times if i remember.
DON"T GIVE IN!! i like deron williams...but i really don't like how they beat the lakers last nite...
I don't hate the Jazz to the extent of most of this board. I just never cared for them. But with this series I'm rooting for them. I don't know any Jazz fans but I know a s***load of Laker fans. So if the Jazz win(even the title) I won't have to hear it from anyone. However if Lakers win...... I'm just going with the lesser of 2 evils.
I still hate them. What's not to hate in Okur??? The dude is a giant chunk of lard. He sits on the perimeter and shoots 3s...not athletic, flops on D, fouls too much. Deron Williams, the man is a beast, no question. Boozer is okay, but he flops and whines, as does any player you could say. The rest of the team?! Korver, a bia on D, the man curls into the fetus position whenever someone drives to the basket. Kirilinko? Lanky guy who fouls and flops worse than Derek Fisher. Harpring?!?!! The worst of all, the man is a walking 6 fouls. The problem is that Utah fouls SO much that the refs couldn't possibly call every single one or the game would take FOREVER. I'll stick with my hate for the Utah Jazz...
Certainly, they no longer have players like Stockton and Malone that I absolutely despise. But I still hate their team. The reason? Jerry Sloan. It's become very clear that a good chunk of Stockton and Malone's dirty tricks were a product of their coach. Now he's got a whole new generation of players like AK47, Okur, and Harpring employing the same BS. I mean, what the hell kind of coach actually teaches his guys to flop and elbow opposing players in the ribs when setting picks. He's a sick a-hole and the day he retires from coaching is the day the NBA will be a much better league. I consider it karma that this franchise has never won a title(although I'm still trying to figure how the equally cheap and dirty Spurs have 3 1/2 championships).
Hard to say, I hate Utah, really don't like them. Wish they didn't beat us. And still are public enemy #1. With that being said, personally, I really don't like LA all that much either, Everyone likes to complain about how bias the refs are in Utah, ummm have ever watched any LA games over the last 20 years. They are some of most horrible calls ever witness to mankind. I remember one Lakers game against the Timberwolves (Game 3 in LA) - 2003 playoffs. The Timberwolves were the better team for the whole game, but the LA refs kept the game close, and were giving the Lakers all kind of calls, especially at the end of game where they let Kobe get 4 point play and the guy didn't even touch him. And everyone remembers game 6 of Kings series. And their bandwagoning fans are so arrogant and fickle, I think Jazz fans are crazy, but there respectable and most still support their team through the bad years. Can't say the same for Lakers fans, who are pretty much the equivalent of Cowboy fans. But, if LA wins, I won't be cheering, if Utah wins, I'll hope SA or Hornets sweep them out of the playoffs. Go straight to the championship....so I guess I better root for SA, because I don't think Hornets can be either one in 7 games. The Lakers dominated the Hornets at certain times this year, and Utah is the one other team outside of healthy Houston that pretty much beat up on the Hornets.
Agreed on that. Although the roster now is slightly less distasteful, the j*zz still play like thugs. The NBA really needs to step up and enact some rules changes that will keep flopping and other BS like that off the court.
When Sloan's gone. I will consider to stop putting Jazz as public enemy #1. If they get rid of either Kirlenko, boozer or Okur, I will think about not putting them as publick enemy #1 when I take a dump.
You're here for as long as Chuck Hayes. What's there for you to hate? I personally don't hate the Jazz. I always thought that the hate for the Jazz is for long-time fans. The ones that lived through the series in the 90s. I didn't, so I don't have any history with them. So what's your beef with them? The flopping?
yeah but that team was older, this team is younger, i guarantee you these a$$holes will be just as if not more i hate the jazz, the mavericks now have company someone seriously needs to knock the s*** out of kirilenko, guy is mad Puss
I am a fan of the sport... more so than any player or coach. I know enough of the history of the Jazz to know, they make a mockery of what is great about basketball. Plus, I hate their fans. Plus, I can't stand Kirilinko, because he's a disgrace to the game because of his cheating, or as we call it flopping. I think that's the biggest ones for the moment, I will probably think of more.
Does anyone else notice Jerry Sloan is building this Jazz team to be just like the old Jazz team with Boozer taking the spot of Malone and Williams for Stockton? Although these two guys haven't developed to be nearly as good as Malone and Stockton. Just give them some time, a few seasons down the road they'll end up being the same team. Mehmet Okur is garbage. The guy is 7 foot and plays like he's 6'6" on the offense. 4 out of 5 times when he tries to post up in the paint he'll either get stripped, blocked, or just lob up a brick. Of course he'll flail his arms every time to try to make it seem like he was fouled. Regardless of his 18 points per game, this guy is just a crappy ball player.
