What I did say, long before it was clear cut, was that it was shaping up to be the most competitive conference in league history. Today, that is a fact. Chalk one up for BB. If it wasn't for a 22-game win streak, the Rockets would not have made the playoffs, with or without Yao. Yes, they did win 22 straight games. No, they were not the 2nd most dominant team in the history of the league and it took quite an unusual amount of luck for the Rockets not to miss the playoffs. I am a fan of this team. When I made that infamous prediction, it was because I felt that the Rockets didn't have enough talent around Tracy and Yao to compete with what was starting to look like the most competitve conference ever. Go back and read some of the other things I predicted that were against the grain, so to speak. Go read what I wrote about the Hornets and Jazz and Spurs and Lakers while so many had doubts that early in the season. Then, chalk a few more up for BB. So, yes, I was utlimately wrong about the Rockets playoff chances. Obviously. At the same time, I was right about several other things. Every person in here has made wrong predictions. I was just more bold than some in the way I worded my opinion. Maybe, I am just more confident in my beliefs. Maybe, I should be.
how about a stretch of 17-5? I don't see how you can still underestimate how wrong you were, and still gloat so boldy about what you were right about.
