I think cook will be a top Contender for rookie of the year. He should also easily replace yao t the all star game for starting center

So if no other team wants Cook he can be waived - ie gone from Houston at no cost to us?
He is probably a nice guy, but I would rather him go - like now.
I wonder if he senses that so many people would rather him not be on the team taking up space. Don't suppose he could just quit?

If a team wanted him we would gladly waive him and let the team pick him up. He would cost the Rox 3 mil. if NO team picked him up.

He could have left but he exercised a player option that added another year to his contract.

in a far away time it was drafted by the gods of basketball to start a curse that will take a long time to be dismis and everyone will be scare of his related amazing stories

but in the year 2010 a aged man know very well in houston with the coaching abilities of a general will lead him to the emperor strike back

and then without knowing his future he will fight his son to become the league only ruler without telling the big secret he is his fhather

in the end he will said cook i'm your father and will continue his dictatorship
over the galllaxy and allll the fans will become as one to follow the ruler of an anarchy call

    HOUSTON ROCKETS

and then we will come as a mass power over the years to come and some one will ask about him and i will tell them read the nba.com roster lineup biography to know from where he come from and be shure that Daryl Morey or Carrol Dawson will not pick up such of tall jerk

    :p

Players taken after Brian Cook (24th pick in the 1st Round, 2003)

    Carlos Delfino - 26th

    Kendrick Perkins - 27th

    Leandro Barbosa - 28th

    Josh Howard - 29th

    2nd Round

    Jason Kapono
    Steve Blake
    Zaza Pachulia
    Matt Bonner
    Mo Williams
    James Jones
    Kyle Korver

In 2nd Round, they draft Luke Walton.

This decade is filled with busts for them.

I have to question the Lakers acquisitions sometimes, I've rarely seen a team draft so poorly end up with so many good players, or give away so much garbage to acquire all-stars and top 10 picks. They are without a doubt the luckiest franchise in the history of professional sports (also one of the biggest markets). Barring, maybe the Shaq trade, where they got some pretty decent talent in Caron Butler, Lamar Odom, and Brian Grant.

Even getting Magic, how does a 47-35 team end up with the 1st Pick in the draft, while the player they gave up for draft picks was a FA to begin with...yet they get compensated with 3 picks. I know it was the rules, but it doesn't seem like it should apply of FAs.

He (ideally) should've been on a plane to New Orleans or Boston under normal circumstances or even today.

Back to present times, I just don't see Kupachak as great GM, he's ok. But, I can't see what makes him such a great GM, outside of being lucky and having FAs throw themselves for free at the Lakers (Artest, Malone, and Payton).
