Let's look @ it this way; if they were both camp invitees signed to ungauranteed deals who would the Rox waive?: Kelly mutha f___ing Cato! please tip you waiters on your way out thank yall be safe
I completely disagree. If both were invited to our camp, Cato would come out with a contract, and T-Mo would be on his way out. For those of you who have this "hard work" notion of Morris: What do you think is the reason he fell from Top 10 draft pick to Second Rounder? Inattentiveness, not caring, not trying. Cato was one of the hardest working Rockets last season, played 72+ games from what I ca remember, and has carried that work ethic into this offseason. All reports say that Cato is working hard and doing great at Westside. BTW, Cato is a starting C on so many other teams, so don't even start with the "he wouldn't be in the NBA" stuff. Cato showed everything that everyone asked for last season. Scored occasionally, kept a high FG%, fought hard and did well to get rebounds, showed hustle, and actually showed heart in a lost season where he could've called it a seaosn at the All Star break. Oh, and we didn't have the #1 pick back then, so the starting job was his, regardless of whether he played well or not.
actually thats about the only good thing even bill and calvin used to say about him, that he can move pretty quickly laterally when cutting to the basket. thats why he gets so many alleyoops.
Definitely T-Mo. Cato is an average NBA player who can block shots and rebound. He also hits a high percentage of his shots. Morris still has potential, but at this point, I don't think there should be any debate over who's better.
