No loss? Anderson has the same or better numbers than Rice (on a team stacked at his position), plus he plays better defense. How does that equal no loss?

How do you know his price tag? Were you in on the negotiations?

The person who supposedly "didn't fit this team" is putting up comparable shooting percentages to the one who did, as well as defending better, and is much younger to boot.

Whattya mean, Rice is his old self. The Lakers and Knicks have already found out that he's past his prime, though.

I wish people would quit saying Mobley is hobbled right now. Watch the gmae - he wasn't showing any sign of hurting. Plus, he said himself that he feels the best he has in a month. I think Mobley os ok.

The bad news is we have other injuries. But I thik Francis being out has shown how important he is to the team. He truly is the Franshise! We get him back, we'll start winning some games. Hopefully, we'll win one before he comes back.

It really sucks when people state like fact so much crap and then build upon that crap. This is not directed at you Francis_Rules. But in this thread alone, there are so many misconceptions about what happened over the offseason, what other people stated, just about anything.

General point of advice: Read a thread entirely before you post. Read your post entirely and see if there are any miscommunications you may have presumed before you hit "reply". This is not a law, but I just think people should spend more time on post quality.

As for your off-season ideas Francis-Rules: I don't think people like to be pointed out when they are wrong. And most people still don't think they are wrong...not to say that they are.

Griffin is not being utilized correctly...I don't think that makes him a bad choice; it just means he is not being used correctly. Tinsley is the rookie of the year thus far, but I don't know how much of his talents would be showcased here. He wouldn't be dishing to Miller, Rose, and O'neal. Rice is sucking, but so is Anderson. Should the Rocks have gone after Webber? I still don't know. I don't think they had enough cap for Webb and rookie's though. I do agree with you on T-Mo though...but that could change.

I say play Griff, T-Mo, Cato, Mooch and Mobes. 2-3 zone that sucker like Minnesota. Get those steals and loose balls with all those lanky arms and hopefully that's where the offense wakes up.

I'm not going to say I told you so, nut I thought the Rockets blew it in the off season too. The Rockets were not a talented team that could just get role players like some teams can do. The Rockets were and still is in the rebuilding stage no matter how many games they won without making the playoffs last yr. They could have made a serious push for Webber and still had a draft pick, but I'll excuse them on that one. My problem is the way the Hakeem situation was handled and the other free agents. I think, and this is only my opinion, if the rockets had resigned Hakeem for 2yrs 7 mil per, draft Griffin and Morris, and let Morris, Langhi, and Williams battle for the 3 spot, this team would have more of an upside and probably wouldn't be in this rut. I personally didn't care if Taylor,Norris, Bullard, or Anderson would resign with the team.

I think the Rockets overvalued Taylor,Norris, and Anderson and under valued hakeem in a sense. Its not like he was the player that he was 5 yrs ago , but he is still better than Cato, Taylor, and Collier. Most people on the board was mad that Golden st matched the offer for jackson because they didn't want him to walk for nothing, but thats the same thing we did with Anderson. Not too many teams wanted Anderson,Rice, Taylor, or Norris, but we still let them negotiate us into giving them or taking on their contracts. Does that sound strange or is it me?

It was a very important summer for the Rockets and they blew it and its showing. We've been in the lottery the past 2 yrs and neither of the players we've drafted has made an impact. The rules have changed, but we're still trying to run the same gimmicks as last yr. The west is tougher, but we did nothing to get better besides sign role players to long term contracts. I could go on, and on, but whats the point? Its just frustrating to watch the team we could have had as opposed to the one we have now!
