Good post man. Like a lot of the critics have been saying all along, the Rockets need to lose before than can win. If the team is setting up Yao and he plays well, we win and the team has a lot better opportunities. Last night was a good lesson in that.

I hope this humiliation by the Marvs is the turning point for Steve's and Mobley's attitude.

I definitely still believe we will be the 6,7th or 8th seed in the playoffs. Maybe advance to the 2nd round if some improvement is made.
THan we will move to the new arena and things will be looking up:)

I Believe we need a new coach.

I Believe that Francis is playing out of posistion.

I Believe this team is underachieving.

I BELIEVE that Bill Walton is the answer to the problem...

I still believe...I will believe more if they rid themselves of Mobley and bring in a true point guard.

I still believe because i'm a die hard homer who blindly feels that somehow someway the Rockets will right the ship and get back on course for the playoffs.
(this bling faith is probably why i have headaches after everygame:( )

We'll still make it. I never had any expectation of doing damage in the playoffs though.

Even though it's tough for me I still believe. It's difficult to see your team make the same mistake and it's like the coach is cheering. I don't understand that. I can't tell a coach how to coach but I think Rudy need that tough love approach to really get to the team cuz otherwise it will be the same thing for the remainder of the season.
I like how it was mention that the Mavs game should be the wake up call for the Rockets. When the offense was going through Yao the Rockets were merely unbeatable. If you did see the look on Dirk and the other Mavericks face........It was beautiful. This could do nothing to stop Yao. Then came the second half that was when the Rockets played like they were playing all season long............I don't think I have to add anything on that.
I really hope this was the wake up call and Rockets do good on the schedule they have now. I still believe.

I know it's not realistic to think that Stevie and Cat would BOTH sublimate their shooting to give Yao more shots, but I do want Yao to get more shots than at least one of our two guards...

THAT would help my belief system a little bit, and doing it for 3 games in a row would be downright miracle!! ;) ;)

I still believe that someday Mobley and Francis will "get it".

Not to be in defense of Mobley and Francis. Lord knows I despise the lack of intelligence in their play.

However, has anyone given any consideration to the fact that if Ming wanted more touches, he could simply GO GET THE DAMNED BALL ??????

I mean he is 7 foot 6 inches tall.

If he wanted to get a rebound, who could stop him?

Ming could be a monster, he makes himself smaller by playing a finesse game.

If we are waiting on Mobley and Francis to GET IT, then I think we need to wait on Ming to GET IT as far as aggressiveness goes.

    Don't ya think?

-Ming can improve his aggressiveness big time
-Steve can shoot less, get others involved and play smarter D
    -Mobes can play smarter overall
-Griffin can learn to shoot the ball with Arc and get some touch around the basket
    -Mooch can dribble less
-Rudy can coach more and motivate more

BUT, as an 8 year season ticket holder, I have to say, my patience is wearing thin on the inexcusable play. Even if we make it to the playoffs--I do not see where the team improvement will be next year. Yes, Ming will grow...but Steve and Mobes and Griffin? Fran Blinebury said it best today--something aint working and the excuses are getting lame (coaching and players). The loss would have been easy to swollow, if I saw individual and team improvement. To put up that pathetic 3rd quarter effort is crazy (and it has happened every game since the LA win). It all came down to hustling. Dallas rotates off doubling and tripling Ming in the paint to defend and contest our jump shooters, then why can we not do the same. Yes, Dallas had it going and Yes, Dallas has more threats. BUT, we keep making the same mistakes over and over. It is painful to watch.

I will go to the next one and next one, because I have invested in the team, but man oh man...the luster is wearing off...things better change soon.

Wasn't it only a couple of weeks ago the Rockets led by Steve and Cat beat the Lakers... how quickly we forget the big wins and hang on to the losses.

    I Believe!!!!

Despite my tirade I think the Rockets will make the playoffs, I'm not really worried about that. I think they can do some damage in the playoffs. The only problem I have is that the Rockets aren't utilizing Ming enough lately and there aren't any adjustments to other teams adjustments. If the Rockets pound the ball in to Ming and allow him to help create we'll cruise the the playoffs, no questions asked. It's a matter of adjusting, that's it. If Rudy and the coaches adjust to other teams adjustments we'll roll. The Rockets are to deep and talented, and have to many go-to guys not to make the playoffs. It's just a matter of taking care of business.

I have not posted the past several weeks because I just did not want to post my reactions after every game. Believe me, I have reacted very strongly both good and bad during this season.

I must say that the Rockets have definitely shown us the Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde sides of basketball. One moment they look like the team we all dream about and the next they make it painful to watch a game. It has been one hell of a roller coaster ride so far this season. I for one intend to stay on that roller coaster and ENJOY THE RIDE!! Whereever it takes us.

Remember all you Rocket fans, we have gone thru alot worse times than this. Even with their faults, this is still a fun team to watch (most of the times), especially with Yao. I think Rocket fans realize how talented this team is, but are fustrated as I am about how they are not playing to their potential.

I still believe in the Rockets and will continue to do so.

    GO ROCKETS!!!!

I am worried. However, I think that is a good thing. I worry because I know the position that this team is in, I know what it is capable of, I think I know where the team is going and I know where this team has been. That being said, I still believe they are perfectly capable of getting out of this rut.

I've been in plenty of ruts in my life, but I know I'm gonna get out of it. It doesn't matter what I think though, it's what this team believes and its willingness to do what it takes to get out of this rut.

We also have to remember that this team has a short-term losing tradition that it is trying to overcome. Getting used to winning takes some getting used to. This season, not this team, is at a turning point. Let's hope they do it.
