    you can't rig a 40 point loss.

you can't even beat the computer on NBA2K by 40 points.

While the first maybe true, the latter part about the team got what it deserved is just a crock of **** and you know it. Did you not see how they called that series after 2-0? That team had a lot of toughness and anybody who supports you in this is just jocking you, because I've seen so many posts about Bob Sura, Jon Barry and that 04-05 team how great it was, how tough they were and a lot of fan favourites among them.

yes there were plenty of fan favorites.
yes there were really bad calls.

but we lost game 7 by 40 points. you can say that we would have could have should have all you want buddy.

i was there with a bunch of die hard rockets, all the stories of the rockets clutch city teams winning an exciting game 7 for the ages were shown.

I liked Sura too. But that team wasn't great.

Game 7 was the reality that hit me, I had doubt. Losing to Utah sealed it.

EVERY TEAM THAT LOSES BY 40 POINTS IN A GAME 7 GETS WHAT THEY DESERVE.

that's on the players and the coaches.

If you can't comprehend that, then you got low ass standards for the Rockets.

    No we couldn't have.

The ONLY TEAM that could have won the title and didn't was the 86 Rockets,

    they needed 2 more wins.

that team needed 13 more wins.

Oh yeah, won't forget that one. Time for revenge. Revenge is "very good." Not a Christian concept in human relationships, but in games and basketball, works for me.

Regardless of how game 7 went, it doesn't mean they 'deserved' it. I can say the Mavericks did not deserve to win the series, because they lost 2 games at home, were blown out in game 6 and had the referees are in their favour. See how that works?

they won , we didn't win.

we deserved a 40 point loss because we didn't prepare well.

yeah the refs were in their favor , but we won game 6

nobody rigged a 40 point loss, the spread on the game was close

If there's any bitter taste in my mouth from that 2005 series, it's blowing Game 3(weren't the Rockets up double digits in the 2nd half?) and then Game 4(they were up again in the 4th quarter). That's where they lost the series. Not the screwjob in Game 5 or the 40-point massacre in Game 7.

What's funny is that one of the plays that did them in in Game 4 was a ball I think being deflected to Terry who then buried a 3-pointer late in the 4th quarter. Who woulda thought he'd be a Rocket 10 years later?

Ask Jason Terry if it was rigged that nobody guarded him at the 3 point line.

do we deserve to win if we let Jason Terry score 31 points on us?

oh yeah, that's the NBA championship team that could have been... NOT.

My brother, 2 sons & I were in Dallas at a bowling tournament. We watched game 7 with a very good high school friend of my eldest son, who had moved to Dallas. While getting blown out by 40, I had to hear about all the virtues of what Mark Cuban (an IU grad) had done for the Mavs & the community. I was so pi$$ed off that I retired a year later.

Yes, this is a REVENGE series. However, make no mistake about it, when we win this series; I WILL NOT go back to work!!!

Yes i remember watching that game in my brand new apartment when i moved in. It was very depressing night, Mike James lost his cool and got ejected, the whole team fell apart while dallas was dancing around celebrating. Too bad this current team doesn't really care about that series as none of these guys were playing for the rockets then.

That series had the utlimate highs and deepest of lows. It was very strange. I don't ever remember feeling as pumped as i did when we went up 2-0 (I was only 10 during the title runs) and then feeling so ****ty after game 7.
