I have secretly thought we would get it together, like was just thinking - ah yeah back at .500 onward and upwards from here. Then again we play like absolute junk. I have never seen such a spiritless and effortless bunch of professionals.

so the question is do we trade dwight and Ariza before they are unsellable?

Perhaps we can get one of Boston's many picks for a Dwight-Ariza package? it's a pipe-dream but maybe Brewer can go.

Dwight has to go, let Clint grow, keep D-mo trade Jones for a bag of crisps. Blow it up I am so done watching a team so lacking in passion and effort.

Oh also, maybe a new GM, coach and philosiphy watching a team jack 40 3s a night at a bad clip is beyond painful.

Thorton I would keep as well. Harrell too.

    Everyone else is expendable.

    Two options:

    1) Build around Harden with a bunch of new guys.

    2) Trade Harden and do a complete rebuild.

I'd agree, i also have few issues with Bev, yeah he is flawed but he also tries and is ok value for money.

I would also keep Harrell and either play or trade KJ.

Well Morey is ultra hard over having stars so i doubt he trades James. But if we re-tool he only has a little bit of time because James can walk in a few years.

I'd blow it up. I'd trade Harden. I think we could get the Nets pick and some solid players like Bradley from the Celtics for him. I'd try to trade Brewer, Howard and Jones as well, getting what value can be gotten for them and getting the contracts of the first two off the books for future seasons (at this point I'm afraid Howard is going to opt in). If there are no offers for Lawson, I'd just cut him.

Come back next season with our own lottery pick, the very high Nets pick, Capela, a healthy DMo, a set of veteran perimeter defenders on decent contracts (Ariza, Bradley and Bev) and a legit NBA coach like Thibs.

Get real. They aren't trading James Harden.

Les Alexander set back the Harden era by a few years when he instructed Morey to go get Lin at all costs over Dragic.

It all started from there. This was Les's version of JVG's Charlie Ward moment but it's up to the GM to fix it but so far he hasn't countered it with his own David Wesley move.

Trade Ariza and Dwight and try to get a big haul back. Forget Durant and rebuild. Try to get a good young coach. This team has failed. And as for the rest of the vets in this team they are worthless and they won't bring anything back at all.

I think the Suns would be the best candidate for this type of trade.

Howard, Ariza, Jones, Thornton and Terry to the Suns

Markieff, Len, Warren and Booker to the Rockets

Tyson Chandler to 3rd team with expiring back to Houston

Then make a 2nd trade in a effort to dump Lawson and Brewer

    Beverley
    Harden
    Warren / Booker
    Motie / Morriss
    Capela / Len

Sorry you can hardly build around Harden as the main guy when he admits he has only stamina to play offense 40 minutes a game.

And he ballhogs and turns it over too much.

    3) Harden is the second star and you pair him up with Durant or another first star ala Lebron and continue trading for killer role players

I would prefer 2) actually but can live with 3)

Yes expect that a) Dwight will have to agree to resign in a small market like Phoenix b) the Suns should have already a trade lined up for Chandler adn because he is already injured and old and his contract is for 4 more years and moderate there is no team that will willingly take it on even for expirings. He is 33 and has shown nothing so far.
I would first ring Chicago and Boston and Oklahoma. (for ariza the last one).

Trading Harden at his age after 20+ games would be insane.
