orlando was in the drivers seat for gortat. really if you overpay scrubs like that then you become the knicks real fast. rockets couldnt offer gortat more than mle... magic wouldnt let him go unless they obviously 'won' in the trade. hence bad move for rockets.
why do you want al jefferson the guy would not fit with adelman or yao and frankly he is not impressive on either side of the court. he cant even play with kevin love.
i'd actually really like david lee to start next to yao and he would fit in real well with this team. but is he really that much better than scola for his much higher pricetag?
    was artest not a risk?
whos to say he hasnt called about chris paul?

sounds like morey is in a lose lose situation with you... if he went all in and busted, you would be criticizing him for that.
go be a fan of the big namers seems thats all you care about. learn to enjoy and love team basketball.

Do you understand that the Heat roster is literally Wade, Lebron, Bosh and Chalmers right now. If they do sign Miller and Haslem returns their bench will be all minimum salary guys. That is how you sign three max guys. You literally have to get rid of everyone else on your team. We will see if this nets the Heat a title or multiple titles, but you better be sure you have three studs willing to play in Houston before you do this. Otherwise you gut your team and end up paying 27 million a year to Amare and Felton, or get no one like the Nets.

As for you comments on Ariza and Scola having their feelings hurt, you are completely contradicting yourself. You say chasing Bosh will have negative consequences because Ariza and Scola know they were on the trading block. Yet you want to hear about the Rox calling NO and Minny to try to get this home run trade. What is DM supposed to do. Call and say we are interested in CP3 but I cant tell you what I would trade to you because it might hurt my players feelings if you say no.

You say Al Jefferson carried the Celtics and Twolves. Do you not realize he carried them to some of the worst records in the NBA during all of those seasons. He is a good player, but coming off a serious injury and due to make a lot of money. It would be silly not to have caution.

Lastly panicking in the offseason because Lebron went to the Heat would be stupid. Last year when yao went down everyone said to tank and make this trade or that trade. Morey held out and waited to the deadline and netted us an incredibly lopsided deal of Kmart, Hill, two potential lotto picks for Tmac and Landry. I will wait patiently and see what happens this year.

I concur. Seeing JCDenton still posting is a huge disappointment.

I don't want to bother with the rest because Yao covered it, but why do you want to hear news? Morey could very well be making moves and keeping them secret, and I like it that way because then he drops bombshells like trading McGrady for a ton of stuff. Or are you selfish enough to want to know everything he's doing? I say this. I trust Morey, and trust he's making good moves and we'll know about it when he's accomplished them. I don't need him to be a attention w**** like Bosh, tweeting every last thing that's going on.

I'm no GM, but here goes my 3 part plan... :)

    PART I:
Sign Kyle Lowry and Luis Scola.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    PART II:
4-Way trade between Rockets, Pacers, Suns & Timberwolves.

    Outgoing Player(s)/Asset(s) -

    HOUSTON ROCKETS:
    -Trevor Ariza
    -Kyle Lowry
    -Jordan Hill
    -Chuck Hayes
    -David Andersen
    -Jared Jeffries
    -2011 NY 1st Round Pick
    -2012 NY 1st Round Pick
    -2011 Houston 1st Round Pick
    -$3 Million Cash

    INDIANA PACERS:
    -Danny Granger
    -Roy Hibbert

    PHOENIX SUNS:
    -Steve Nash

    MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES:
    -Al Jefferson
    -Jonny Flynn

    Incoming Player(s)/Asset(s) -

    HOUSTON ROCKETS:
    -Danny Granger
    -Steve Nash

    INDIANA PACERS:
    -Kyle Lowry
    -Al Jefferson
    -David Anderson
    -2011 Houston 1st Round Pick
    -$3 Million Cash

    PHOENIX SUNS:
    -Jonny Flynn
    -Jordan Hill
    -2012 NY 1st Round Pick

    MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES:
    -Trevor Ariza
    -Roy Hibbert
    -Chuck Hayes
    -Jared Jeffries
    -2011 NY 1st Round Pick

...Why each team agrees to the proposed trade...

    >Rockets:
Receive Danny Granger and Steve Nash, immediately putting them into Championship contention.

    >Pacers:
Receive a good post player in Al Jefferson to "replace" Danny Granger as team's star and fill their immediate need at the point with Kyle Lowry, whom they've shown interest in. David Andersen would be a better fit along side Al Jefferson because he can space the floor with his outside shot. They also get the Houston Rockets 2011 1st Round Pick (receive best players, outside of Houston, in trade) to help acquire talent and $3 Million to make salaries match.

    >Suns:
They trade Nash to a contending team helping him finish his career off strong, receive a lottery PG in Flynn, allowing them to showcase and develop Dragic at the point while having a potent 1/2 combo. Jordan Hill provides young talent at the PF position now that Amare is in NY. They also receive NY's 2012 1st Round Pick (have their own 2011 1st Round Pick) to help acquire talent.

    >Timberwolves:
Get rid of Al Jefferson's contract and receive Trevor Ariza who is a young talented player at the SF position and Roy Hibbert as a solid C position player. Chuck Hayes and Jared Jeffries provide help off the bench and their expiring contracts help shed money for more cap space. Also get NY's 2011 NY 1st Round Pick (don't get a superstar talent player) to acquire talent sooner than later.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    PART III:
Find Yao a backup... (2 Options)

    Option 1:
Sign Brad Miller for part of the MLE

    Option 2:
Trade Battier + filler to Bobcats for Tyson Chandler

    HOUSTON ROCKETS 2010-2011 Starting Lineup:
    C : Ming/Miller or Chandler
    PF: Scola/Patterson
    SF: Granger/Budinger
    SG: Martin/Taylor
    PG: Nash/Brooks

    Brooks = 2009-2010 MIP ... 2010-2011 6th Man ... Future All-Star ;)

I'll put my pipe down now... :(

According to Brian Windhorst of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Cavs are interested in Kyle Lowry.

    http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf/2010/07/cleveland_cavaliers_may_be_rea.html

How bout a sign and trade Kyle Lowry for Varejeo + Gibson?

    Brooks/Gibson
    Martin/Budinger
    Ariza/Battier
    Scola/Varejeo/Patterson
    Yao/Hill

Pretty solid lineup if you ask me. Andy is a perfect fit for this team and is a Scola type of player in that he is hustle and grit. He also gets to the line alot because he flops. Booby Gibson just adds another three point shooter next to Yao.

Personally, I like al Jeffersons stats! But since nobody likes watching terrible teams, I've really never seen him play!!

Anybody wanna feel me in on his strong points and his weaknesses, how he would fit with Yao and scola down low, ect...?
